Unfortunately, I got sent around the roundabout by the staff here. I talked to and met Donna and another woman, and they were both very sweet and helpful to an extent, but the problems began as soon as I arrived. I didn't have a light wiring harness adaptor needed to plug my vehicle (2015 subaru outback) into the trailer lights. It would have been nice if the staff who had called me the day before had asked what kind of adaptor/light thing I had in more detail; I was just led to believe that they would have it. In any case the ladies, sweet as they are, didn't have what I needed and didn't seem to knowledagable on the subject. They suggested I start trying auto parts stores. So I embarked on a journey that took me to 3 different shops and calling 5 more until I would the part needed. Ironically it was at the Belton U-hual! It would have been amazing if somehow these two uhual locations could have easily communicated that to me to save some time. All this delayed me literal hours. When I returned, we tested the lights and the part and it worked good. Then we rigged up the trailer and tested those lights too. We discovered on of the tail lights wasn't working. The ladies noted that there was no proceedure or system for checking trailers between customers, (which is ridiculous). They also said they don't have the tools or parts to replace the bulb (also ridiculous), so they told ME to take the trailer to, get this, back to the belton Uhual. On the way I call them and they inform me they don't have a mechanic in, so they refer me to a THIRD uhual location, a pickup in harrisonville/peculiar. It's 30 mintes away but at this point my travel plans are already ruined so it's fine. They guy Eric at the harrisonville location said he was just paid to watch the lot, but after I explained my problem he got me an emergency trailer swap and got me out of there in 10 minutes flat. In the end I was delayed 4.5 hours. Hopefully some of these experiences can become lessons for uhual in customer service and thinking ahead.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkThe address was wrong and it was very hard to find. Cost me $60 because it was late back to my house and my movers were waiting there for the truck.
Stephanie OThis trailer was absolutely a piece of junk. The out of balance wheels made it difficult to manage and UNSAFE! This was the only one available or I would have returned it.
Martin VThe attendant I worked with, Donna, was very nice and helpful. She contacted me on Thursday to inform me that their location would be closed on Saturday (the designated pickup date). Without her due diligence, I would not have been able to pick up the trailer Saturday afternoon. There were two 5'x8' trailers on the lot. One was clean and appeared well maintained. The other was weathered and did not appear to be maintained at all. This was the trailer I was assigned. The trailers wiring harness had one or more shorts causing the trailer lights to work intermittently. The tires appeared to be rusted to the hub. I could see no way to break the lug nuts loose had it been necessary to do so. The paint was curled up and falling off the side of the trailer. I had doubts as to it being sufficiently road worthy to withstand a 500+ mile trip. Unfortunately, I didn't have another choice.
