The agent, Hunter, told me when I signed in that insurance is required to rent a cargo van. When I told him my personal coverage covers a cargo van, he said he was new and couldn't do anything about it. He called over his manager, Gary, who told me the same thing his regional manager told them: to make insurance mandatory for cargo rentals. Gary told me this was a new policy that started on June 1, 2026. I then showed Gary a rental agreement from June 6th, from the same location, where I got a cargo van with no coverage. He said he wanted to go back and update that closed-out agreement to add insurance. I told him, " That's ridiculous. I will take this up by filing a complaint within the next day or so... I can't imagine how many renters have been forced to buy insurance at this location because they were told they have to. I didn't appreciate all the calls I now have to make because of this nonsense.

Veronika KCouldn’t use the truck! As soon I got the rental truck from Boca Raton to West Palm the car was overheated and had to stop for 3 hours to get the engine cooled again. Getting back to the place to return it and explain the issue, the answer from the guy was “sorry I’m not a technician” really?? I had to pay for a truck that couldn’t use it.
