Dear to whom it may concern: I'm very surprised that a billion dollar company hides behind a small mom and pop business. I recently rented a truck for an unexpected move, I was loading as fast as possible only to be contacted by u-haul demanding the truck be returned. I'm disabled and impossible to load a 26 foot truck in one and a half day. I was forced to unload the things I had on the truck in front of the new place. I wasn't able to move my refrigerator due to the u-haul demanding the truck return, and to add to he insult of it all they charged me for the 24 hours for seven hours use. CRIMINALS

Nothing can be done really. They sometimes do not have enough personnel to help with check out. Having it all set up online first, helps. And the people who work there are doing their best and are great to deal with. There is just not enough of them on Friday afternoons! It is the only UHaul rental location in Harney County, so we NEED them and appreciate them.

As I was eating breakfast this morning I got a call from someone from Bennett Muffler “Looking for my trailer “ after letting him know I got into town late last night due to the blowing snow storm I would deliver the trailer as soon as I got it emptied. I take the trailer to the drop off place was not greeted by anyone I had to go looking for someone when I find someone who was sitting behind a counter never identified himself just pointed behind him and said just drive out back and drop it off the boys will show you. BTW I’m a Disabled Veteran with an artificial right knee I love nothing more than climbing in and out of my truck in the snow looking for people who wouldn’t get out of his chair much less come outside.

I had an issue with the tie down points on the inside of the cargo box of the truck. Two let go enroute resulting in the load shifting. No damage was done to the the load, but I suggest the tie down points should be more securely attached and/or warnings given that they should not be relied on to secure the load.

Have trucks with full fuel tanks. It's difficult to gauge how much fuel will be used on your trip. This is one reason why U-Haul is always my last choice to rent from.

The instructions at the drop off were not consistent with the instructions from the app. This caused confusion as we were trying to drop off the truck. For instance, at the dropoff, we were instructed to leave the pads in the cab. Yet we were also instructed to take pictures of the cab to show that it was clean. So we removed the pads for the picture, but then the app tried to charge us twice for the pads. Having driven all day, and being tired, I found the whole experience to be completely frustrating. I did not appreciate having to create an account just to return the truck. On the bright side, the truck handled very well and I was very happy with the equipment.

We were never told by any personnel we also had to cover all the fuel on top of the 99 cents a mile fee. Would've been a nice heads up before 172$ extra was pulled out for fuel.
