I was told to fill the tank before I returned the truck. When I picked up the truck the gauge was right on full. I drove 33 miles in total. The truck took 6 gallons to fill. The gauge was well past the full mark when I returned it. I would have been charged for fuel had I not returned it full. Yet I had to pay $25 to fill 6-gallons when I used 2 gallons of gas at best. The gentleman where I rented said there is nothing he could do about and directed me to call U-Haul customer service. Fix the fuel gauges on your trucks or change your policy because either way the customer is paying.
Scott PI dropped off at night and did not interact with anyone but the next day there was a $12 charge on my bill in addition to what I already paid. Given the fact that it had more gas than when I picked it up and it was 12 hours before the expected delivery time, I don’t know what this charge was for.
