I had selected a U-Haul drop off location near my destination in Durham NC. There are a lot of them in Durham. For some reason, U-Haul overrode my choice and sent me to a location 40 minutes away. OK, fine, not the end of the world. When I got there - a day before the truck was due to be returned - I was told I had to return the truck using the app. Except the location is so rural, there is no cell coverage. I went inside and asked if they had wifi, and was told they did but "no one knew the password". Really? To top it off, the truck was not marked as returned until AFTER my return deadline, even though I returned it a full day in advance. I am really hoping this does not result in late penalty fees.

The staff at Food Mart told us they don't handle any of the exchanges directly, but I was having issues downloading the app (poor service location) so they reached out to the local agent and was able to help me process the drop-off in a timely manner.
