Tim SAfter returning trailer I received email with a bunch of extra charges, I talked to U-Haul before renting asking what time I can pick up and drop off. I told them I need to catch a ferry in morning but weren’t open early enough to pick up so they suggested I pick up at closing time day before at 7 pm. Seemed reasonable and I said what if I miss drop off time. They said they will be closed at 7 just drop in yard. Well I missed a ferry and was after 7. Then I get the invoice. Very unhappy they could have charged me an extra day rental or a late fee but no they just charged my credit card with no details or explanation of what extra fees were and there was no damage to trailer. Will never rent or allow anyone I know to deal with U-Haul again. I would have rented it 2 days instead of 1 but thought it was all arranged when I talked to them and their suggestion said just pick up early day before but never said anything about taking me to the cleaners if I miss deadline. Horrible horrible business practice
