I reserved a truck well in advance of my move, but I was given a truck that could only be picked up two hours later than I needed and it wasn't even in the same city. I was only notified of this development the morning before I was to pick up the truck and when I called the head office, whom I was told could help me, the customer service was extremely poor.

Not U-Haul Yarrows fault, more of a headoffice issue, but let people know more than 1 day before if a truck is not going to be at their specified location. We had to drive 75K to pick up our truck. That’s not good customer service.

I was extremely disappointed with the process of renting a trailer. Neither your dealer, or your customer support number were any help. Even though my vehicle exceeded the towing requirements - it took more than 1 and a half hours to sort out what should have been a simple rental. I would have liked to have my money back - the delays in time cost me much more than the $61 rental. I will be taking my business elsewhere unless a satisfactory response from the company is received. For the record - I was more unhappy with the customer support number than the dealer - even the dealer was surprised at how poorly the system worked.

I had a reservation the day before in 100 mile house, they went open . But reserved for pick up through call center.phoned again ... call center gave me new location in Abbotsford and reserved trailer for the next day, got there it was a storage facility.the lady there was very helpful and reserved the trailer for me in chilliwack... they went out and made sure it was there.went to pick it up and it was covered in ice and very dirty and froze to the ground. They didn't have an adapter plug for wiring 7 to 4 wire. I had to go shopping for one. We were then able to pick up trailer and complete our trip. The lady in Abbotsford was very helpful . Every other aspect of getting the trailer was substandard service

Worst experience of our life , mouse poo in truck unable to use part of truck , gas reported improperly. First location closed early had to drive to another time to get another truck in a rat infested corner store , the attendant didn’t even get truck prepared , watched as we struggled in a snow ice storm as we used a small car scraper to scrape an 1 1/2 of ice off vehicle Charged extra money on our bank card ( with out approval) for fuel that wasn’t in truck , we have pictures of fuel and odometer meter We put back additional fuel then even used , over all an extremely horrible stressful experience.. :(



We still have the mats that were never used. There was a death in the family and this is the first day the computer was hooked up. We will return the mats when there is someone with a car available.

Not that it is this locations fault, but the uhaul I used really needs an allignment and mechanical check on its running gear.



The truck I rented wouldn't start so they could only accommodate me with a truck 1/4 it's size. I had to make multiple trips unloading outside down the road + I had to borrow my friends work truck. Made my move about triple the work and an awful experience.

This was the worst service I’ve experienced in a very long time. We prepaid to guarantee our trailer and moving truck and neither were ready by the time they said it was. There was lack of communication - they didn’t even call us to notify us that the trailer we had already paid for wasn’t available. When we called (6times!) to get a straight answer from them, the lady I spoke to was rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor to explain our situation as she was not understanding, she said they were not available and I should call back in an hour. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to as I needed and answer (it was 9:30am on moving day) and she said she’s the boss and she’s in charge. So we ended up having to find another trailer for rent and went to pick up the truck at 11 as promised and then as we were on our way they called and said there would be a delay on our pick up time. We asked how long? They said they would give us a specific time as soon as they knew. 12:30 goes by and we still haven’t heard anything from them so we call back. They said there has been a delay and the truck won’t be ready for pick up until 1:30. So the day is half over and we have no truck or trailer, but have prepaid for everything. We call again at 1:30 to make sure the truck is there and still there is no 26ft truck so they offer us a 15ft truck in substitution. We don’t feel we have a choice and we take what we can get. So we go to pick it up and the man that was trying to figure out how to rent it to us doesn’t know what he is doing. He calls uhaul to get assistance and finally 30 minutes later we get the truck (and they charged us the same price for the 15ft truck as the 26ft truck)! We load and get ready to go the following day and see the truck has less than 1/2 tank of fuel and we are driving 3 hours through a mountain pass - so now we have to stop to fuel up. I call to complain after our stressful move to see if they can adjust the price as we were over charged and the lady o spoke to said she can’t do any refund without a manager (it being Sunday there is no one around). So she said she would get a manager to call me back on Monday. No one calls so I end up calling them AGAIN, explaining the story to someone else and finally they offer me a 50% discount on their “service”. I will NEVER use UHaul again and if anyone asks for recommendations I will tell them to steer clear of this company to save them a disaster. I honesfty feel traumatized by the stress they caused our family. Moving is stressful enough, not having the equipment needed and having someone rude and unprofessional to speak to tips the ale for the worst company/customer service. My husband had to drive the other trailer we rented back (3hours) and drive home again (another 3 hours) after packing and unloading, then driving three hours in the mountains to our new home; all the while I stayed home to unpack with two small children. the pickup location was changed at the lastminute to one that was about an extra 30 km from aggassiz where I needed the truck. I received a phone call to let me know from someone who didnt speak english as I tried to confirm with them the change. I drove out in the morning to pickup the truck only to find out that the truck had been downgraded aswell to a smaller truck and i ended up having to make 2 trips which doubled my km's again. My bill ended up being over 170 bucks for what should have been under 50 had everything not been changed on me.
