Uhaul failed to have the unit I had reserved online. They waited until I had almost reached the dealer to phone me and tell me that if I wanted that unit I would have to go 100 km out of my way to pick it up myself. When I told them I would take a different style of trailer they tried to charge me almost 4 times the price. This was not the dealers fault. It was uhaul the company’s fault.

I reserved a 5 ton truck in port moody bc they had a 10ft box truck for me when I arrived then said that's what I ordered the manager didn't even know what a 5 ton truck was.they found us a 20ft truck 71 km away ßo we had to drive 142 mm before when even started to move we are very unhappy with the whole thing

Booked online and requested pickup and return to location on Luckacuk Way and was not happy when I found out that I had to drive to Yarrow to pickup vehicle which was very inconvenient. I also had to return the vehicle to that location. Because of this, it added extra mileage and fuel which added extra costs to my charges. This also added extra time to my schedule which caused me to sit indefinitely in rush hour traffic. Definitely not pleased and felt I should have been advised of this before the scheduled pickup. The whole experience was not a pleasant one and will look in the future to making other arrangements with a different company.

Truck ran well but was not cleaned out. Both the cab and box were dirty. Had to sweep box out and remove papers and empty water bottles. Booked unit for 9 am to 5 pm . . . arrived at 8:55 am but did not drive out till 9:40 am. Staff not very efficient.

Truck was great, people were friendly and helpful. I had pre- checked in on line, but everything hadn’t came through to the computer at the pick up place so caused a little more delay than I had expected.

Again, I requested drop off be Chilliwack, and Yarrow was a bit of a drive. I did appreciate being able to extend the rental (it took longer than I thought to move!) Rental prices were reasonable. Attendee was personable and helpful.



There was a smell and a stain of some type of petroleum product in the trailer upon pick-up. Thankfully the previous user had placed some cardboard in the trailer to protect their belongings and had left it in there. We used it for the same purpose. It needs to be hosed out and dried though. Other than that, experience was as expected.

reservation changed last minute, was told that i was getting a 6 by 10 trailer rather than my reserved 4 by 8. This was not going to work for me so i had tincture 70 kilometres tonChilliwack to pick up a 4 by 8, the only one available in the lower mainland of BC.

Be a little more courteous to your customers. They were rude on pickup because they claimed they dont do puckups before 9am but i had clearly booked an 8am pickup. Then upon return(over 18hrs early and 600km under the allowable and paid amt) they were looking for any possible reason to charge extra saying the back of the truck had dust in it so we re-swept as it was already done and proceeded to tell us we left it with less fuel than when we got it cause it was a hair ynder half which was exactly where it was when we got it and the agent said it was fine as long as its close when u bring back. Very poor customer service. If thats gow they treat all their uhaul customers then they should just stick to running a gas station

I do not like the fact that the vehicle is given with 1/2 tank.... Seems as though it is a money grab as more often then not the tank will be returned with more then half a tank. Why not just fill it and then there is no question about the amount of gas received on the return.

The initial call centre was a bit scrambled and was not able to offer as much info a I would need not knowing my area. The staff at Petro Canada Pickup were great, efficient and quick.

When you confirm a truck pick up time and location, don't call 30min before pick up time to say tgat afterall it's not available amd that nothing else is available. When you say you're doing a $50 refund, do it!

I scheduled a moving van for July 14th a month in advance. I was called on the 13th and they said the only vehicle available was at 5pm on the 14th. When i payed a $100 deposit and asked for a certain date and told the uhaul employee in person that i plan on picking it up at 8am because I am moving 4 hours away, I expected to have it available at the start of the date asked for and in the location asked for. If you cannot organize a few trucks with a months notice you need to improve the way you organize and schedule. I said that 5pm would not work and had to drive 1 hour away to pick up a vehicle and when I arrived it was not there. Waited an hour. Still not there. I was then offered a larger vehicle that was sitting there available the whole time I waited. Thank you to the guys at the petrocan that helped me but come on. I ordered this and paid a deposit a month in advance! Get it together U-haul.

Used the online rent program. It all worked seamlessly until it was time to go inside and get the keys. The agents really struggled with this part and did not understand to just hand over the keys. Other than that the process was flawless. The truck was very old and beat up. There were cigarette butts in the ash tray and the dolly and blankets were all missing.

The issue seems to be a uhaul one. My reservation confirmation email meant nothing according to this location as it had no vehicle # attached to it. Then I was told I could not get the vehicle until an hour later than I was told I could reserve and pick it up. Them he changed his story, said the vehicle was not actually back and they could not get ahold of the guy who rented it and I rented a smaller truck and was able to get it at the time I wanted. WTF!



I phoned and was able to rent a cargo/van trailer that same day. The price was excellent and I had no issues. I would rent again if needed.

Worst service i have ever come across. I started the reservation for a 15ft truck weeks previous. I spoke with a women in Goergia who had no idea what she was doing and could not spell. Spent the main portion repeating the alphabet.2 days before the move i called to make sure every thing is fine and was told that my 15 ft truck was down graded to a mini van. I had to switch days, but was told that they had found me a truck. So once again i accepted and then drove to prepay at the u haul company and was then told they double booked and was downgraded once again. And then a 3rd and a 4th time. I have never been so angry because the last mess up was the actual complaint dept, they had apologized booked me a truck and gave me 100 credit. Then later in another call i was told they were sooty but they messed up and i am now back to the van.i was in tears as I had to move a packed 2bdrm Suite, and was ill at the time. The next day we went to U haul to pick up the Can, and what do you know they have a 15ft truck , so I reauthorize 79.00 for something, and was told I would only pay for the taxes and fuel when i returned the truck by 9:00am . My move in total was 33kmh. I was very sick and sent my son ahead to start the process of returning the truck and i would meet him between 8 and 8:30 am. Remember not to be back till 9:00am! Well the owner of the business representing U haul would not wait. My son told him i was on my way and to wait because he was charging us the wrong amount and my son repeatingly asked about the credit and they 79.00 already paid.the business owner punched in my credit card number and told my son to except the charges. My son once again refused and asked him to wait, by this tome my son was angry and said you just cant take my mom's money, and the owner punched in accept himself. WITH OUT MY CONSENT .My son was livid. He yelled is that even legal ?? And was told I have to take it up with the head office. I called head office,, and was told they would return the 100.00 credit but they billed me 136.00 2's plus extra fees and taxes that were previously paid. I would never ever use Uhaul again. They used to be good. Dont know what happened?? I spoke to2 other family's who also had a nightmare of a time. One lady had 3 kids a a 3bdrm house who had reserved months ahead and they had double booked and she was left with a mini van. And the other was missing a 2day early return refund. I am going to keep repeating this review everywhere I can until this is rectified properly!



The man was very unclear about payment options, his debit machine was broken and offered zero solutions. Was very rushed, and rude. Would not rent from this location again unless it was a last resort. 0/10 would not recommend.

I phoned this operation before I picked up the trailer and told them I had no experience with this type of equipment. When I picked up the trailer they had no straps which you advertise that you should have. When I dropped off the trailer they were dismissive and unhelpful. It took my wife and I 15 minutes to disengage the trailer because the ball hitch locking mechanism was not well maintained. And no one offered to help us. What do I expect from a $15 rental? Not much and we did not get much!

I tried the online check in and it wouldn't allow me to check in. It said sorry we can't rent to u even though u had a reservation. Luckily the attendants at the gas station were able to clear it up and get us a truck. Whole driving we thought the passenger door would fly open and it was a very loud truck. I would not recommend the online pickup to anyone.



The unavailability of trailers made it necessary for me to drive 50km each way out of my way to pick the unit up. I was not reimbursed for my fuel or time, and it was a major inconvenience.
