Location and employees of D&D Auto were great. However, the Uhaul app is a big mess. Our pick up was for Sunday, when D&D was closed, was told to use the app to pick up the truck. This turned into a nightmare. The app would not work...at all. My spent an hour and 45 minutes on the phone with a Uhaul rep just to be able to pick up the truck! The first half hour was spent on hold waiting for someone to answer! Upon drop off again we had issues with the app. My advice is to don't pick up/drop off your Uhaul rental unless there is an "actual" person at the location! This complaint has nothing to do with D&D Auto...its all on Uhaul.

Same as above, with addition of instructions for mobile return need to specify if they want trucks parked across the street or in the regular parking lot. There was one truck parked across the street in another lot. I wasn't sure where they wanted it. The actual parking lot is rather crowded for big trucks like that.
DAVID DUKEWhere do I begin? Belongings ruined by U-Haul packing affiliate, truck alignment was severely off, multiple U-Haul employees and roadside assistance stated the vehicle was not safe to drive - yet another truck qas not available. No tread on interior wheels, truck clearly was previously involved in either an accident or was stuck in a previous transit. Steering wheel at 11:00 o’clock, in order to drive straight. Roadside asdistance stated “someone clearly got this truck stuck, your steering wheel is completely crooked, but I checked your alighnment…. How far are you driving?” Roadside assistance asked, I replied “indiana to Iowa”, he replied “oh… you should be okay to make it there”. Multiple calls to uHaul reporting this, and asking if uHaul advised customers to drive vehicles in this condition, multiple employees stated “no”. Alll of which I documented, recorded phone calls, took photos, filed complaint, filed insurance claim, etc and given countless runarounds in regards to the date and pick up location, paid for moving help that never got to load my truck because uhaul advised not loading any cargo on the truck until roadside assistance cleared the vehicle for safety. Was forced to hire uhaul moving help for the following day, as the local help I hired for Friday was paid in full but my truck was unable to be loaded until the following day. 30% of my truck load is damaged. 70 inch flat screen - shattered. Stereo speakers and Edison Phonograph, in pieces. Vinyl record collection completely flattened. Broken mirrors, broken photos, damaged Traeger Grill - all due to an unsecured load via Uhaul moving help: THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE - “they should have never given you this vehicle to drive” the General Manager stated, after inspecting my truck on drop off. “Your steering wheel is completely croaked… but… how far are you driving?” roadside assistance stated. “Unless you want to drive out of state for a different truck, we do not have any other options for you. Take it or leave it.” Uhaul scheduling department stated. I will never use your company again. THOUSANDS in damages to cargo, and still paid your moving help to pack a load a day late, after paying a different local company who I then had to cancel with no refund because I was sold a unsafe rental. UNACCEPTABLE.
Zachary StewartVery friendly lady we dealt with when we dropped it off. They have a big lot to park it in.
CATHERINE MOORENo improvement needed at this location in Clayton IN. I would strongly suggest using D & D for all their U-Haul needs.
