I rent every weekend for work & I seem to periodically have problems with this location. I've had a problem with them not assigning me equipment. I had a problem on 2 occasions where I tell the attendant that I don't want the insurance and I was charged for it anyway. They make you choose 75 miles or more upon booking .and for some reason. When I was there last 5/3/25, the attendant tried charging me $200 to rent a 10' truck for 1 day, I was only going approximately 35 miles. & This was after I had a problem with them assigning me equipment. When I finally got my truck, there was another guy there waiting having the same issue. I hate renting here, but it's the closest to my house.

BARBARA SI recently visited this U-Haul location to rent a van, and unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, my first instinct was honestly to turn around. The lot where the vehicles are parked was unkempt and filled with trash and random junk on the side, giving the impression of a neglected, makeshift setup. The gentleman assisting me was polite and had my reservation in the system. He handed me the keys and informed me everything would be handled through my phone. I found this paperless process quite nerve-wracking, especially since I wasn’t given any physical documentation. I was concerned that if I got pulled over, I’d have no way to prove I was driving a rental. While attempting to take photos of the vehicle through the U-Haul app, an error occurred. The employee told me to just go ahead and drive the van anyway. To my surprise, the van was handed over with little to no gas even though the facility is part of a gas station. I immediately had to fuel up, which seemed intentional. I ended up adding far more fuel than I used, which felt unfair. The interior of the van was dirty and sticky. The employee quickly removed some visible trash by blowing it out or tossing it on the ground, but no actual cleaning was done. There was still dirt and debris underneath the seats and on surfaces. When I returned the vehicle, I was told to just drop the keys off. I received no confirmation or documentation no mileage check, no final receipt, nothing. I had to take my own photos and call customer service to ensure everything was properly recorded. As someone who’s rented from U-Haul many times, this new process felt extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. This location is in desperate need of improvements from cleanliness and organization to customer communication and transparency. For U-Haul’s sake and for future customers, I hope major changes are made.
