I was very disappointed with the independent dealer location I rented from. I was charged a cleaning fee based on a photo that showed only two tiny pieces of debris in an otherwise clean truck, and it left me feeling like the charge was unreasonable. I appreciate that U-Haul corporate reviewed my concern and refunded the $25 cleaning fee, which I felt was the right decision. My suggestion for improvement would be better oversight and consistency with third-party dealer locations. Because of this experience, I will continue using U-Haul in the future, but I will only rent from official U-Haul locations rather than independent dealers.

Barbara BU-Haul charged me for mileage despite changing my pickup the day before after they allowed me to schedule a 15’ truck in another city. No human ever contacted me. Never using U-Haul again.
