The guy who runs the place provides very slow service. Doesnt really seem to know what he's doing. Teach him some customer service skills and get a bigger font on his computer

When we arrived to pick up our truck at 10am, the person there did not have anything ready. It took nearly 45 minutes to get on the road with the truck. The employee did not seem very well trained in the U-haul computer system and I was prompting him to fill in certain things to move through each of the screens.

Agent was friendly and keen but just painfully slow - more help needed. Delayed for more than an hour and this was not reflected in the return time on the contract - I still needed the truck for the requested 5 hours. . Was also not told that the van had been booked out to someone else at the originally scheduled return time. Again a sizeable queue when returned vehicle so no time to discuss issues and concerns. Its been a week now and no response from U-Haul re our experience. Very disappointing experience.

Lot was full tight squeeze to get trailer in held up traffic nice fellow working alone in shop. Again I would consider you short staffing. Would be good to have a drive through for drop off. Nice fellow rather busy.

Originally book a truck out of Campbell River, BC, Canada 3 weeks in advance but was informed just prior to picking up a truck that the truck I had booked was not available AND that I would have to go to a different town to pick one up and drop it off. The call centre that informed me of this change was a "free" upgrade... not true. The larger truck that I got cost more in ferry fees because of length and gross weight. As a Canadian customer we are screwed. U-Haul is the only company that will allow you to move yourself and return the truck to a different location. You have a monopoly on us. You win. Stop treating us like garbage.

The business owner is alone And he takes a lot of time processing things He is a nice guy but is in need of reading glasses

Give Robert some computer training. I was there for at least an hour while he dicked around with the computer, and he still didn't get it right! Nice enough guy, but boy, can he NOT handle the computer!

Owner needs Assistant. Extra help, something.

There was only one employee, I was there for a very long time. He was disorganized and was unfamilair with the computer operation.

Everything was 110% excellent! You just need a bigger parking lot at the location so it doesn't get bottle necked, The Agent was great. I would recommend uhaul to anyone

I would only recommend the McPhee location because we don’t have many drop off locations where we live in Courtenay. Not the cleanliness place but it gets the job done.

we noticed a lot of negative comments about this location, but our experience was very good. The truck was excellent and drove beautifully. The staff seemed a bit challenged but the service was prompt and no problems whatsoever

When the pickup is scheduled for 8 AM and they dont show up until 10AM and then 2 hours to get the paper work done. 4 hours behind before I even start.

Make the reservation system reliable by having the equipment at the location, date and time reserved for!

you guys could make it, so if, someone has to drop off in a different town, there is no charge!!…..

The fellow running this location run off his feet and desperately needs an assistant. We waited for an hour and 15 min to pick up the truck. Customers were backed up in a lineup. The shop had virtually no air circulation and 1 chair, in a heat wave. Tempted to walk out.

We arrived on time and did the online express pickup. Everything worked well and after 20 minutes and having verified our payment and everything the app said to go inside, show the screen to the representative and pick up your key. But inside there was only one person working and only 2 people waiting. We waited for over an hour to get to speak to him which was very surprised that we had it all done online and had to check through everything just to make sure. Then we got our keys. But wow an hour wait when we could have been out in just a few minutes if there were 2 workers. We had a crew waiting out in the hot sun for well over an hour because we took so long to pick up the truck. The person working was very polite and friendly but just too overwhelmed with work. By the time we left, there was a big lineup of very unhappy customers. Hire more people and make it work. Thanks.

The location its self was very good and staff very helpful. It was mixed with another business which is why it was not the most inviting U-haul location I have been to.

Way too crowded, no where to park and only one person running everything. Phones, counter and yard all one person.

Great staff, needs a helper when busy in summer.

The store operator was polite and friendly. I was dropping off only and had no issues except a long wait. Many people in town say they have had problems at this location, my exp was average.

Nad service nad for u haul name

When you sign the contract with Uhaul for pickup at a location that’s where it should be. Not an extra 60 km out of you way! The person in Calgary said its more to drop of in Campbell River, I payed the extra because of the distance I had to drive. Made me take it to Courtney anyway

The Guy working there is very very slow. Highly recommend using the self check in/out so you can just grab the key from him.

Robert needs HELP on a Saturday. When 5 people are lining up it gets so tense with everyone on a schedule. He is very thorough and knows what he is doing but NEEDS help 1 day a week
