The trailer sat on the ground without a tongue jack and wasn't well balanced. I strained my back trying to get it on my hitch. The young lady who worked there came out and assisted at my request. Together, we still couldn't lift it high enough. Then, she recalled that she had a tongue jack which helped get it high enough to make the final lift necessary to get it on the ball. Having shared that, my back is still tender, and I was unhappy that U-Haul would reasonably expect a normal individual to lift that weight without personal or mechanical assistance.

I wasn’t aware that I had to download an app in order to return the equipment. It wasn’t mentioned. It took us 30 minutes to download the app, obtain a code for entry, fill out the app, then leave. The app was easy to understand I just would’ve liked to know ahead of time. The terminology that was used was “you MIGHT want to use the app for your return to be faster”. I needed “you NEED to download the app and have it ready”. Maybe more helpful, direct signage on site would be beneficial.

Ronnie RIf an appliance dolly is unavailable, please let the customer know... I was sent to 3 different locations looking for one that I paid to rent and no one had one. The final location had one with a ripped strap so it was useless. I had to go to Harbor freight and purchase my own hand trucks for $60+ because a $10 rental set couldn't be fulfilled and no warning was made to me.
Luke AThe truck had a funky smell in it that we never got out of it even with air fresheners. I also reserved an appliance dolly and was told when I arrived to pick up the truck that they didn’t have a dolly. The attendant really had a “don’t care” attitude about it. Ended up paying $26 to rent one on the delivery end from Home Depot to unload.
