The instructions on the phone should match the instructions in person. The attendant had the keys inside while I was searching outside for the black box. Furthermore, I would have needed a code for the black box outside. I did not receive a code. This was not my location choice when I reserved the vehicle. If U-Haul wants to recommend a location, that would work, but to completely change my location without my consent is not okay. I drove to the location where my U-Box was held, only to find out my reservation was at a separate location. This made for a bad start to my day because I was already off schedule. I was supposed to receive a phone call from U-Haul the day prior to pickup with instructions. I only received two text messages that sent me to your website and App, and both were not working properly. Having pickup instructions and actual locations would have helped me plan my day better. Both the pick-up and drop-off locations chosen by U-Haul inconvenienced my family and me.

This location made it so complicated to pick up the truck we booked over the phone. U-Haul changed the time and location of the pick-up and there were no details as to how to go about it. We spent 45 minutes at the new location on the phone with U-Haul trying to figure it all out. We would have appreciated some transparency as to how the process actually worked.
Shane FThe office for this location is a convenience store. I made the reservation online with all of my information. The person working did not know how to book a rental and had to call someone else. It took 20 minutes for the second person to show up. The truck had 177500 miles on it, was dirty and had damage and graffiti on it that had been painted over. When I returned the truck a different person was working who barely spoke English. He called who I assume was the same person called in the morning. After waiting a half hour the person behind the counter told me the return was done and I'd get an email with my receipt. I used the truck because I had help moving booked and could not change my plans on short notice. There were two Uhaul trucks at the location. The store was filthy.
Gary SGot the gas low talked to the return shop employee he told me it’s fine to return it where it was since that’s where I got it at.
CALLUM LI didn’t select this location initially - the truck I reserved was not available at the one I chose, so my pickup location was changed to this one - and I cannot in good faith recommend it unless the staff that work here are trained on how to handle U-Haul pick-ups and drop-offs. The gentleman at the gas station counter was very nice but was completely unfamiliar with how renting U-Hauls work, so he just handed me his laptop and had me input all the customer information myself when he couldn’t figure it out… I of course also do not work for U-Haul lol so filling out all the details involved a lot of trial and error, as well as me calling the 407 number the gas station employee gave me to resolve some issues that came up. In total, it took about an hour for me to get the truck I reserved, from the time I arrived at the location. The same gentleman was there the following day when I went to drop off the truck and also did not know what to do, so I ended up calling the same 407 number let U-Haul know I returned the truck. I unfortunately did not receive all the items I rented along with the truck since the worker at the gas station didn’t know how to give them to me, but luckily I was able to get the items I didn’t receive deducted from my final bill. In the end, I was able to still get a truck and move! So that was a success. I do, however, think the process could have been much quicker and more straightforward with adequately trained employees at this location.
