How U-Haul Reviews WorkIt took hours to pick up the uhaul. I called that morning to confirm my uhaul and was told that if I had any problems to call great lakes and they would come help as they only lived a couple miles down the road. This was the worst experience of my life. Every time we called great lakes ZERO calls r voice-mail answered. Then myself, my ex husband, my daughter and my daughters boyfriend all tried calling the help line and all we got is the run around. Worst costumer service EVER!!!!! For the money I had to pay to get this kind of service so not worth it! From this point forward I will ALWAYS tell people to choose a different company to move their belongings. I was trying to escape from a DV relationship and every minute we had to spend at my home was one minute my family members were in danger. What an absolute joke your company is. The drop off went OK, but, pick up was absolute hell!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!
JOSEPH Seasy to pick up but the computer process was a mess. I had previously checked in online to make this process easier, but it was not and took longer than planned and had to add other ppl for some reason. Huge mess. Also, I originally reserved a 20' truck in Perry, MI. Then they called and that wasn't available & they reserved a 15' in Williamston, MI. Then that wasn't available and had to drive even further to Duran, MI for a different truck. This added unnecessary mileage as well to my cost. I'm also not even sure I received the 20' truck for the 15' price which they indicated I was getting? The pick-up place could not confirm that either.

Lance RI paid around $130 to rent the 26-foot truck for 24 hours, made one trip to the new house, and drove it back to this drop-off location, which was fewer trips than expected. At drop-off, they wanted to charge me nearly $100, and the representative said I would be charged $160 temporarily. So, $390 to rent a 26-foot U-Haul for 24 hours for one trip from Durand to Owosso and back to Durand to drop it off? Why? It is predatory.
