This place was VERY disorganized. We were told we had to bring the truck back at 11:30 so that only gave us 3 hours. luckily when we called the other family had cancelled. We also rented a storage unit that we called about to see if we could start bring stuff over on a Friday instead of Saturday and were told yes adn that someone would call to confirm and then never did. We were also assured you could fit a 1200 sq foot house in the space. So we got the truck and then went back to get the storage space (this was Saturday). There wasn't anyone in line and the first guy said he couldn't finish helping us because he was't the person who deals with storage. He was very nice. But the person he got WAS NOT FRIENDLY and rude. He kept going to help another person I guess without saying a word, just always leaving. There wasn't anyone else in line either at this time. Then when he got done he just shoved the papers at us and we had to ask him where the storage locker was and what number. It was unreal. So then we get the truck to the back and the doors won't open and it's upstairs WITH a lock on it. The temperature is over 80 too so not climate controlled like advertised. We called hte intercom multiple time about the doors not opening and the lock on the door and no one would answer. Then we had to go back up front and tell them and the guy had an attitude and told us to wait so he could find someone to unlock it. Then when it was opened it was so small we couldn't fit our stuff it it which with the temperature probably was for the best. THEN we had to find somewhere to put our stuff in storage and somehow get the truck back by 3. When I told the guy who helped us cancel the storage room about how rude the man who got it for us was, he responded with "well, we are all having a bad day". Very disorganized and very rude customer service we were just in utter shock.

Drew was real rude and disrespectful I was not satisfied at all with my experience at that U-Haul and I recommend no one to go there I wasn't compensated for my inconvenience or nothing Drew had a very nonchalant attitude when dealing with this situation his employee stepped in and helped out more than what he could and I don't see how he's even a manager

Have more customer service reps on a busy Saturday in May, or have a separate line for people who have confirmed reservations. I waited in line for 10-15 minutes to check in for my reservation while the too few reps on duty dealt with customers who didn't have any idea what they wanted, what it cost, or how to even deal with renting a truck.

I work for one of the largest retailers in the US. We are fanatic about the check out experience for our customers. I waited 25 minutes in line today just to pay for my rental. Then the U-Haul guy sent me out to talk to a guy that was hooking up trailers. He was working with another customer so I took it upon myself to hook up my own trailer. As I hooked up my rental, a U-Haul emplyeee stopped me, twice, to tell me a U-Haul employee needed to hook up my trailer. By now, I have been at U-Haul for over 40 minutes trying to get my trailer. Oh ya, I filled out all the paper work on line in an effort to avoid this hassle. Needless to say, I won't choose this location again.

Josh at the 15-501 location in Durham is awesome! I called the location to let them know I would not be able to return the 2 trucks I rented because we sold our home on Monday morning and the the closing on our new home (scheduled for Monday afternoon) was postponed until Friday. I only rented the trucks for 1 day and explained to him that our entire home was in those 2 trucks and I had nowhere to put all of our belongings as well as dealing with trying to find housing for a week for myself, my wife, our 2 year old son and our dog. He was so accomodating and apologized many times for something that wasn't even his fault. He helped to extend our reservations and provide some security for 1 piece of the crazy issues wevwere having. I work in a healthcare position where I deal with Customer Service on a daily basis and would love to have someone like Josh on my team. As a sidenote, we had to reschedule DirecTv, power, internet, water and gas hookups at the new house as well, but none were as helpful, understanding, or accomodating as our UHaul experience. You have a great team member in Josh and I hope his superiors notice that and let him know they see his dedication to his customers...We will rent from this location again and tell our friends and family to go see Josh for their moving/storage needs. Thank You Josh!

The metal bulb that is used for towing is a HEALTH hazard. I am really angry- I received a severe injury to my shin and knee, and I almost had a concussion when I fell.

The folks there were great in personality. Quick at the counter. Understood my needs. Made it happen. The folks outside at pick up said there is your truck. The interior was dirty. The cargo hold still had mud all thru out. This I did not realize until I was picking up my load.

The drop off was quick. The staff found me in the system while I was in my car. Emailed my receipt. They unhooked the trailer and off I went. No problems.

Vehicle had less than 3/4 of a tank of gas when I picked it up and I returned it it had more than 3/4 of a tank. They still charged me for $7.00 for gas. When I complained they I should have returned it with 13/16. There is not even a mark on the gauge for 13/16. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there was no manager there that day. I have have rented a number of trucks from other U-Haul sites and never had this issue before. This appears to SOP at this location.

I was told one price on the phone and when I went into the location the price was $25 more then what I was told. No one would honor the price I was given over the phone. Also the person on the phone told me I could pay cash and when I got there they told me I couldn't. So not only did I spend more money but I also wasted a lot of time that I needed and it set my whole day off.

I had to ask to have the equipment cleaned out it still had drywall dirt and stones. They didn't really explain the billing although I was able to figure it out. Employee driving skills through the parking lot were scary to say the least. I was backing up a trailer and an employee moving a truck was not to be stopped by me. Another employee driving a pick up truck led much to be desired with respect to customer safety.

Please don't keep calling to ask when we will be returning the vehicle if we paid for an entire day. That means 24 hrs so we will have it back at least by then & if not we will let you know & agree to pay for 24 more hours. Everything else was ace, but unfortunately we had to rent the truck for an extra 2 days & were told this was no problem when we inquired about this possibility when reserving the truck. They just kept calling & asking what time we would have it back (I'm assuming they wanted to rent it to another customer) after we contacted then to let them know we would be needing it for the extra time.
