Saturday parking is a nightmare. Not enough spaces. Had to walk from one end of the lot to the other. Not a problem for me, but someone with health issues might need to choose another location on the weekends.

I was charged $4.55 for gas that I replaced. I was also charged for pads and a dolly that was left in the uhaul. I clearly stated on my contract I did not need the pads or the dolly but they put it on the truck anyway.My total trip was 11 miles. When checking in online, it said i would be charged.69 per mile and at the store was charged .99 per mile. So I definitely feel I was overcharged and will be using a different company next time.

I was told through text to return the truck to a different location than I put down when I ordered the truck. This added another 10 miles. I was being charged for driving extra miles because U-haul asked me to pick up and drop off at different locations. The first person I talked to in the store said that he could not do anything about it. I asked him the call the 1-800 number and he said NO because he wasn't the customer. When another clerk came to see if I needed any help, he said that he could help me. To me this is very poor customer service. Both stores are U-Haul stores, not just pick up/drop off points. You should have someone available to help customers when they have problems like this. Or your people to be willing to talk to the 1-800 people to help out. Right now I am glad that I will not be needing a rental truck any time soon.

The employee who I worked with literally told me that he did not like my name when he read it on my license. On the way out to the van he told me again "Yeah, I really don't like that name." I would advise you to tell your employees that it is not generally considered good customer service to tell a customer that you do not like her name. He was lucky that I am generally a relaxed person, I imagine another customer would not have taken that insult without reacting strongly.

I purchased a trailer hitch online and scheduled for next day install. I then called to find out when I the appointment would be. I was told that someone from that department would call me later the same day to setup an appointment time. I never received a call that day. The next morning, I received a call at 7:30am stating that I missed my appointment and that my time 7:00am time slot was overbooked. I didn't know about a 7am appointment time. Next, an appointment time was given for the following date at 1pm. This was not optimal due to the need for a hitch at a certain time, but I agreed. When I arrived, I was advised that the hitch was not advised due to towing restrictions of the vehicle...it would have been nice to know this information at the time of purchase. I approved the install after researching the issue. The other thing that annoyed me was having to wait in line for 15 minutes behind 2 other customers after receiving the trailer rental, to finalize the rental. They did not open another line to expedite the wait time.

The entire customer service experience on site was great- thank you! The truck was clean, as expected. What I HATED was the 10 pack of moving blankets mounted to the wall inside the truck. I understand that it could be convenient (and a nice upsell for uhaul) to have ready-to-purchase blankets in the truck but they were in the way! I hoped to slide the entire pack a few inches closer to the front of the truck, but it was mounted between two very close together screws and so could only be moved 3 inches at best. It was such an annoyance to have to plan to pack our stuff around this immovable object. I strongly suggest at least mounting this on the opposite side of the truck (where there's already a bump out on the floor) but truly I'd prefer for the entire thing to go away completely. I did not have to deal with this last time we moved- if this is a new practice mandated by corporate, please pass along my firm dissatisfaction. Thank you!
