David AWe came to drop off the rental vehicle. We arrived at Burgundy’s around 5:45PM to find the location was closed with a sign that says “Be back at 4:30”. No key drop box, and no staff. Waited for 20 minutes before calling Uhaul customer service who advised us to leave the key in the vehicle so we had to go back to the parking spot at the top of a nearby garage to do so. Ended up being late for dinner reservations. Would also like to point out that I would have liked to get the rental earlier in the day at 8am which is when I booked it for on the Uhaul website. They called me the day prior telling me they weren’t open and they don’t allow phone unlock (thanks for the heads up less than 24 hours….). Don’t advertise something you aren’t capable of doing. If I called to cancel a service with less than 24 hours notice I’m almost certain I would have had to pay some ridiculous fee but they have no problem changing my plans within that same time frame. Absurd. Awful experience and will never rent here again nor will I recommend this location. Only upside was the vehicle was new but that does not take away from the fact that we couldn’t even drop the thing off.
