Horrible. I have used Uhaul before and have to admit this was the worst pick up experience I have had. If I had other options I would have left. Unfortunately nothing else was available or open. I scheduled the pick up appointment at 930am because the location was supposed to be open. The location had two Uhaul trucks parked on the road. One was parked over cardboard. The building was closed with a huge gate around it no way to contact anyone. After a half hour of waiting and trying to use the Uhaul apps chat feature to figure things out a woman came out of a black van parked on the street, letting us know that she had spoken to the employee, and he would be there in fifteen minutes. The chat has a horrible lag, doesn't communicate things clearly, and just keeps telling you to go inside even when there is no option to go inside. After almost an hour total of waiting a male shows up. He asks my name, states the payment was made, and goes in to grab the key. He hands me the key leaves while I'm trying to check the inside/outside of the truck. The fuel gage registered 7/8 of a tank and the light on the dash board said to add air to the right tire. I had to take a photo because he was gone. The truck itself was fine, temporarily, after adding air to the tire which came on again. While returning it to the location in Vacaville I made sure to let the attendant know the experience and the encounter. Please use caution and document everything!

How U-Haul Reviews WorkDaljit (sp?) at the pick-up location (5 Rivers Auto) was fantastic, really went above and beyond. Unfortunately, the appliance dolly I reserved wasn’t available at this location, so I had to also go over to the U-haul central location off of Jacob’s. I previously had a poor experience at the main U-haul facility, and this time I waited a little while, told through a doorway that someone would be with me shortly. When Armen emerged he seemed visibly annoyed when I told him that I hadn’t received my dolly at the pick-up location, sighed heavily and told me to wait while he went and grabbed me one. He brought the dolly, and when I asked for his name he kind of scoffed and said ‘Armen’. I’ve had great experiences at the contracted locations in the area that provide space for equipment pick-up/drop-off. I have had poor customer service interactions at the U-haul location off of Jacob’s, which is surprising considering that it’s the U-haul “hub” in the area. Will pick up equipment at 5 Rivers Auto anytime, they are fantastic.
