First off the 15’ I originally ordered had a broken back door. It wouldn’t close properly. There were no other 15’ so I asked if I would get a discount on going to a 10’ or same price honored for next size up. No. I would have to contact Uhaul for discounts. Clerk also didn’t have access to keys for other vehicles since they were in lock box. Btw: Chris, the clerk, was truly truly fantastic. The owner came in and didn’t say hello or introduce himself. He took over for Chris but didn’t know all the procedures and kept having to ask Chris how to do things. I settled on a 10’. This transaction took over 90 minutes. Sam, the owner, looked at me and in a very loud voice said “LADY WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM??” Both myself, my partner and my friend all were shocked at Sam yelling at me. He kept yelling and threatened me that he would “put me on the UHaul blacklist” for my attitude. He asked me again what my problem was. When I attempted it to answer he kept interrupting and again threatened me with a blacklist. I am a very calm person. I stood and waited for him to finish his tirade. I explained that I was frustrated with a busted 15’ and would have to figure out how to make a 10’ work. I also explains that I had a crew showing up and at this point I’m not going to be there to meet them. This location is located inside a gas station that also has a mini mart and a deli. All transactions are handled at the same counter. I would step aside to let other customers be served. He yelled at me that I was not at the right place to be helped for UHaul. That I should be standing in front of the computer which is hidden behind a glass case. There are no signs stating where to stand for UHaul. I pointed that out to Sam. He said I should have just known. He also told me that I’m not at all important to him but the mini mart customers are. He said “you think you’re right because you’re a customer” My response “the actual saying is ‘the customer has rights’.” I own a business. I deal with customers all.the.time. This man should not be representing your company. He open carry’s a gun. I get it because he’s got a minimart but he made sure a few times that I saw his gun. When I finally got the 10’ it was dirty and I swept it out before I loaded it. The drivers side mirror was also cracked. The transmission is going in this vehicle but why bother to tell Sam since he told me my business doesn’t matter and I would be blacklisted. I will never use UHaul’s services again. Nor will I recommend UHaul.

The gentleman went out of his way to assist my wife in turning in the trailer
THOMAS TTreat your customers like they are important. Don’t keep pushing them aside to tend to other customers. Need more than one staff member for the whole store. Know how to do your job. I personally had to call uhaul to get problems solved when worker called boss that was more than 14 minutes away and lives over 30 from location. Staff member should have called uhaul to resolve issue. Not one apology not one time offered a credit or more time due to lateness of transaction. Clean your trucks! I will never go back!!! I will use the other location.
Sabrina TThe person who helped us never bothered to check that the equipment was in good condition before handing it in. He didn't even go outside. The trailer's passenger-side light didn't work, and one of the tires was very worn. When we returned the equipment, they didn't check it or go outside.
