I was clearly told that I could return the U-Haul two days later. I specifically asked if there was a required drop off time, and I was informed that “any time before closing should be fine, otherwise an additional day would be charged at $40.” I arrived on the 10th to return the truck and to my surprise, I was charged an extra $40 as if it were an additional day. This directly contradicts what I was told. Where is the consistency here? I have been a U-Haul customer for quite some time and this situation feels misleading and unfair. If the information provided by staff cannot be relied upon it raises concerns about the process as a whole. Moving is already a stressful experience and often done within a tight budget. This unexpected charge disrupted my planning and added unnecessary frustration.

MICHAEL KPurchased the insurance to cover damage and found out when I asked if there was any damage the insurance would cover it he told me yes. WRONG it did not. the policy I needed was never offered to me and they told me misinformation. The insurance company for U-Haul told me if you don’t rent from an actual UHaul business the people aren’t as well educated on UHaul. Now my insurance company is involved and the U-Haul policy I bought was a waste of money.
