It was not a good experience. My truck was canceled without my knowledge, and I had to call and speak with three different representatives over the course of one hour before anyone could find a replacement. Because of this, my students and our One Act Performance were late at our theatre competition. The truck they eventually provided was much larger than the one I originally reserved, which made things unnecessarily complicated. As a high school theatre director with limited resources, I was very nervous driving this oversized truck. The set we brought to competition was, in fact, damaged due to the truck’s size, and I was neither refunded nor compensated in any way. On top of that, I was unable to return the truck to the closer location where I had originally made my reservation. Overall, this was a terrible experience. Reliable service and clear communication are essential—especially for educators and community groups who depend on rentals like this—and U-Haul failed on both fronts. I will be contacting and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

STANLEY SYou are charging too much per mile in addition to the daily rental fee. Truckers drive big rigs for less per mile. It's shameful. The irs reimbursement rate per mile is only 0.70¢ and that's what you should charge at most.
