We were charged a wrong destination charge for our blankets and dolly that were returned with the truck. It has been a 3 month process of calling so many people to try to get this resolved and money refunded. 2 weeks ago we were finally told that the refund was submitted and we would see the money in our account in 3-5 business days. It never showed up and we were never called. I called AGAIN to see what the problem was and was told the system was down AGAIN so they couldn’t issue the refund. And no one called me to let me know. This time I was told it’s being issued again and now I will wait to see if I am finally going to get the refund or not. This process has been horrible and time consuming and terrible customer service.

The truck was not at the location on the email confirming rental. After 30min wait, we Were told we had been left a voicemail about the pick up location change. We did not receive a voicemail. Was told we we're sent an email also about change, but the only email we received was asking if we wanted help loading truck. Had to drive almost 20 miles, each way, to pick up truck, past another rental location, to get truck. Arrived at new pickup location, rental agent was a sweet Grandma that didn't know how to operate rental software. Had to call someone 2 times for help. She also didn't know anything about the equipment. Now we have been waiting 30min to sign paperwork. Paperwork said 7/8 tank of fuel, but was actually just above 1/2 tank. Windshield had 2 cracks that were not marked on inspection sheet. Tow dolly safety chains were attached illegally/incorrectly. Truck was clean, but has an exaust leak and has a strong smell of gasoline for the first few minutes after cranking. Now time we got back home, we are 2hrs behind schedule. Called the main office and was transferred to someone that took my complaint and said a mgr would contact me within 72hrs, that was 5 days ago. I will tell anyone I know who is needing a truck, call Penski, Ryder, enterprise, etc

Got charged for refueling the truck. I filled it up before returning it. It had more gas in it when I returned it than it did when I picked it up. The mileage showed I only moved it 10 miles. I put 8 gallons in it and was charged for 4.5 more gallons.

Since the web site list this location "With 24 hour drop-off" We decided to return the trailer there on Sunday. The gate was locked and the Uhaul drop box was on the outside. We left the trailer, but worried someone could stop by and steal it easily.

I rented a car hauler. Downtown call center asked a lot of qualifying questions and then told me where I could pick it up. BUT THE TRUCK DID NOT FIT ON THE TRAILER and I couldn't use it. Not the fault of the location; but UHAUL's computer (?) system said the trailer was big enough, but it wasn't. I had to get ANOTHER trailer to haul the truck, then GO BACK and get uhaul's trailer to return. All this occurred after hours so there was no-one to take the issue up with. TERRIBLE EXPERIECE.

The orginal tow dolly this location gave me was incorrect for the vehicle I was towing. Gardendale is 21 miles from my home. When they called to tell me about this mishap naturally, I was livid. The woman that worked there managed to also raise her voice at me for being upset stating it was "my fault I did not pick the equipment up on time" even though I called her at 7am to let her know I would not be able to pick the tow dolly up at my scheduled time and she said that is ok. Anyways after being in hold with customer service about this issue for more than 30 min I realized I was helpless because uhaul also doesn't have customer service apparently. We had no other option to get my wife's vehicle to our new location. So I went back to swap it out. An extra hour of travel time, gas wasted, and miles put on the uhaul truck. She did manage to decrease the price of the tow dolly but that still doesn't make up for her raising her voice, at me, for me being upset with their mistake.

From time I arrived to pick up the truck to the time I left the facility with a truck was a total of about 10 minutes. Fast service and friendly staff. The truck was clean and gassed up and I had no mechanical issues during our move. I would rent here again in the future.

The cab smelled like smoke. Teresa at this location was great! I didn't like the process of scheduling a pick up time. I want to schedule it further out than the day before pick up!!
