A day before my rental, I was called by a representative and told this was the only place that had a trailer I could rent. It was an hour out of my way and in the wrong direction. When I arrived for pick up, just before 10am, there was no one at the location, despite posted business hours of 8am-4pm. After 20 min of calling and knocking, I called the U-Haul help line and was connected to someone who was polite and tried to help. That did not last long, she connected me to someone in the "scheduling" department, who was rude, condescending and completely unprofessional. She told me she called the owner of the pickup location, and he had left to run some errands and would be back when he was done. When I told her how ridiculous that was, I was told I better not complain or he wont rent me the trailer, and accept it or leave with nothing. When the owner finally returned after 45 min, I did complain to him, and he had the nerve to tell me that "he drove by at 10 and did not see me so he decided to leave and go run errands." I have rented multiple trailers fro U-Haul in the past, and this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I understand things happen in the rental,world and sometimes changes need to be made, but the complete and utter disregard for my time and the rudeness of your scheduling agent as well as the pick up location owner is totally unacceptable. For my next rental I will be looking for other options.
