I arrived at the location at 10:15 for a 10:30 pick up. The office was closed. I was told the employee that was not at work due to a death in the family. I understand that emergencies can occur, however, this location needs a back up plan for these type of situations. Loaded the uhaul app to do a mobile pick up which kept telling me I had to pick up in person. Finally got the manager of the location on the phone thru uhaul customer service. While on the phone with office manager the employee showed up which she checked me in for pickup. I was on the phone with uhaul customer service for over an hour before I got this situation resolved. With 3 other customers in the same situation. Once I picked up the truck all went well. The uhaul app is not user friendly and some customer service agents do not need to be working in customer service. The location needs a back up plan when employees do not report to work.
