I originally planned to rent from a Humansville, MO location. This location had only 1 truck and it was out of service. The closest location was approximately 25 miles away. Rented for 2 days. Purchased the additional insurance as well. We were charged for mileage over 30 miles after being told additional miles would be credited due to the distance of the available rental. Returned the rental in one day and was told there would be no reimbursement for one day instead of two because it was a one way rental and was not returned to the original rental store. Charge for one day rental was over $200.00. I have rented from U-Haul many times over a 30 year span. This will no longer be the case.

ARTHUR RLocation is listed online as open on Sundays. We showed up for an out of state move to pickup our truck and location was closed, truck key was not in lockbox and we had to call U-haul central multiple times to get an employee out to meet us so we would not miss our scheduled movers. This was the only 26 foot truck within miles and when we picked it up it had a roach infestation. Most of our boxes now have cockroaches crawling in them and they have invaded our new house. When we called U-haul to file a complaint and report a claim my wife got an email back that said, "We should have called roadside assistance" - can you believe that!? Now, we are going to need to spend hundreds of dollars getting our new house exterminated. Let me assure you, we are not the people that expect things to be perfect nor do we complain about little things....it is 12:30am and I just killed two cockroaches on my wall...let me assure you this experience was so bad this is my first negative review in 10 years on ANYTHING!
