Maura DI recently rented a U-Haul from the Island Lake BP location, and the entire experience was excellent! The process was quick, easy, and hassle-free. The staff was friendly and made everything simple from pickup to return. I was pleasantly surprised that this location offers U-Haul rentals. It’s incredibly convenient to be able to grab a truck while stopping at the gas station. Honestly, they should add even more trucks because this location is so convenient and makes moving much easier for the community. I highly recommend renting your next U-Haul from Island Lake BP. Khurram GThe U-Haul locations are ok. Never had an issue. What I have had an issue with is U-Hauls IT/backend infrastructure. For a company that has been in business for over 80 years, you would think they would be able to get it right - and they have not! For example, when you "reserve" a truck you really are not reserving a truck - you are expressing a "preference"! WTF is that? Literally I made 3 "reservations" in a row and all 3 times they called the day before and said that location doesn't have the truck, but you can get it at X. WTF? The 1st time, I was able to accommodate it. The 2nd time, I could not - the new location was too far, so I had to cancel everything and reschedule. The 3rd time it was basically down the street from my original preference. Also, the Moving help section is messed up as well - you cannot communicate a specific load/unload time - only Morning, Afternoon or Evening. And, once I selected Morning for the 1st helper, it would only take morning for the 2nd! The dates are pre-selected for you and they assume that you are loading on the 1st date and unloading on the last date - not a good idea. Let the customer input both dates! Do better, U-Haul.
