I specifically reserved a truck from a store that would be open until 5pm on the day I picked it up, 3/30/24, because I had chosen to pick the truck up at 4:30 pm. I later received an update to my order changing the store I was picking the truck up from but did not realize the store you chose to send me to closed at 1:00 pm. I just assumed when you changed the store it would be a store that closed at 5:00 pm since I requested to pick up the truck at 4:30 pm. Unfortunately I had to use the Quick Keys option so I could pick the truck up at 4:30 pm. Never doing this before, I prefer to do these things in person, which is why I chose a store that closed at 5:00 pm, it was a difficult process that took at least 45 minutes to complete. The truck was a piece of shit. I had problems starting it, while driving it, when you gave it gas it would stick and make a horrible noise, wouldn't shift to the next gear, acted like it would never pick up speed, it would make a God awful noise until it finally shifted gear at around 40 mph. The door on the drivers side would not shut right and so I was afraid the entire time driving it that it would pop open. When you went up a hill the truck would nearly come to a stop, could hardly make it up a hill. You charged me for gas after I put gas in it before returning it but I feel that if the truck had driven better, had I not been forced to give it so much gas to get it from 0 to 40 mph so it would shift gears without sticking or have to give it so much gas when it nearly came to a stop going up hills, I wouldn't have used near as much gas. I believe you should refund a portion of my money for the inconvenience of driving a truck that was a death trap. I paid a lot of money for a truck that was not in good condition. I will never use U-Haul again. I had other choices but chose you because my past experiences have been good but the entire process was bad from the moment you changed the store I was to pick the truck up from to the moment I returned it on 4/1/24.

She told me that they would email me my receipt. And I mentioned that sometimes one is more comfortable receiving a piece of paper before one walks away. And she spent probably 10 or 15 minutes fighting the system trying to get me that damn piece of paper. And she was an absolute sweetheart about it the entire time. Plus, her dog is adorable.
Grant rThe trailer was towed to this location by Missouri Dept. of Transportation after it came unhooked from my truck on I-435 in the middle of the night. Safety chains also failed and it crashed into the guardrail. No personal experience with the location it was taken to.
Jon HFix the fact that when you try to brake the truck doesn’t downshift it accelerates.
GEORGE TLocation did not inspect first trailer after hooking up to vehicle. I did a walk around checking lights and found the lower door latch was missing. They did swap me to another trailer but same this did not ask me to check lights for anything after hooking up to vehicle. When on the road tailer had a bad vibration between 45 and 55 mph empty, when loaded trailer was fine. Door to trailer was very rough and needed to be lube to make it slide better.
