There was some confusion when I arrived from the front of house person but we sorted it out. The ordered extras (Dolly and furniture mats) were not in place but were taken off the order so I did not pay for them. Once I got to the truck out the back of the store, the owner appeared and was very helpful regarding getting out of the yard (which is tight otherwise) and provided guidance regarding the return. This site works far better if you use the app to check in and collect as I opted (badly) for the desk check in when I made the reservation on line.

On line process asked me to go inside and ask for assistance. The counter person was not helpful and seemed confused, repeatedly said call uhaul I can’t help you. I nearly canceled my reservation when another employee decided to step in. For me I like the concept and maybe I just got an uneducated employee but 50 mins to rent a truck? It was a fail for me. Jeffrey MI reserved to have a furniture dolly, appliance dolly and furniture blankets. This location had none. Instead of telling me prior to charging me and finalizing everything; the attendant told me afterwards when I finally noticed the truck was missing all these items. The cashier there who was getting defensive with me when I questioned why he charged me for that equipment knowing it’s not there, handed me a note with a phone number and made me contact someone by the name George to 954%865%3945. George then said I can make my complaint to U-Haul and they can refund me for it.

Juan RThis experience was horrible. It took forever to complete the online pickup process and at the end of it there was no key in the box so I couldn’t even access the truck meaning I couldn’t empty out my storage unit and I’d have to pay another month fee as it was the day before for the 1st of the month. Then I tried to call for a refund and was on the phone for an hour and transferred about 5 times to different people only to be told to call in the morning. I still haven’t received my refund. No one was ever apologetic for the massive inconvenience.
