VICTOR DOver all very disappointed with Uhaul. You claim the rental is only $29.99, then you charge per mile and then you expect people to fill up the gas tank after all this hiden add charges. I will never us Uhaul again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. Uhaul is a ripper and a fraud

JAMES HIt wasn't the dealer's fault at first. When I went to pick up the truck, the computer system was down. She could not even use the backup system, which is offline. Apparently, it was some type of system crash. After about an hour of trying, she said I would have to come back. Since it was about a half hour away, and it wasn't our original pick-up point, I left. On the way home, I contacted the number she gave me which was the transportation department of your company. I had dealt with them before when I used the U-Pick up boxes. When I contacted them, I was told to use the app, and I should be able to self-check in and then just get the keys. So, we turned around and headed back. The app was not working but by the time I went back in, the system came back up, and I was finally able to take the truck. It was my own fault, but I did not check the truck before I left, I just wanted to get going and take care of what I needed to do. When I opened up the back, it was full of dirt. I had to sweep it out before starting to load it. For such a large company with rules about returning it late, by and hour or two, it would have been nice for someone to offer something for my troubles. I am sure there were plenty of people who were in my situation as well - I am not just speaking for myself.
