Worst experience ever. 9 am I arrived to pick up van but was told there was a red flag on my account I sat in Ace Hardware waiting for uhaul to answer phone. After 15 minutes someone answered and dropped the call 9:20 Called again and after 11 minutes someone answered and told me the red flag was an error. Uhaul forgot to remove it from an incident last October where Uhaul incorrectly accused me of not returning a truck. 9:40 was given the keys to the van I put my purse and the key on the front seat and per the text alert from uhaul, i got out and took a photograph of the license plate as well as the truck body Returned to find the door locked Went back inside Ace to ask for spare key. They didn't have one. !0 am I called Uhaul roadside assistance. Agent told me I would be charged $200 to have a lock repair person come unlock the door. I was upset About this as it wasn't my fault. Corporate person told me i must have hit the door lock button near the window, There was no door lock button near the window. My daughter, also upset, called Uhaul to complain on my behalf. Agent suggested I pay the travel protection fee of $7. I did and the $200 fee was dropped. Waited for guy to unluck door. Took 45 minutes to arrive and about the same amount of time to unlock the door by finally pressing on the key fob which was on the seat. Finally left in the van around 12:15 and returned it by 3 pm. Terrible service all the way around.

Mikayla GI has to file complaint with U-Haul. I returned to the pick up location and the manager tried to clean it after I had it partially loaded. The previous renter must have used it for dry concrete. It’s covered with cement dust in all the nooks and crannies. My driveway , house inside and out , shoes and all my furniture is covered with this dust. It’s absolutely terrible.The underside of the truck was loaded with cement too. Everytime the truck is moved there is a mess under it. By the time I got to my destination the interior and contents had a layer of concrete dust on it. This truck needed better inspection and deep deep cleaning.

FLORENCE DThe lock wouldn't work on the back of the truck. It got stuck repeatedly. It smelled like weed. They did tell us but it was pretty bad. It was the only 26 foot truck so we had no choice. Reserved ahead of time that went good.
