Local agent in Lakeway, TX was the worst. Had an attitude. Told me the original $285 quote was incorrect as it was missing the $357 in mileage. My wife had made the reservations and appears it was local not long-haul. We were doing a one way move from Lakeway (Austin) to Junction, TX and she was unsure of our options. Instead of suggesting a one way with a drop he raised the bill up to $650 plus dollars and just said that's just what it costs. I called Uhaul. They were very helpful but said nothing could be done on their end. They gave me the number of the regional person that runs the local pickup location I used in Lakeway, TX. No response from him. Stopped by the store in the evening and the same guy above said the manager is always in at 7 am in the morning (Sunday) but he couldn't or wouldn't do anything that evening. I showed up around 9 am but no manager as it appears he takes the weekends off so the info given was bad. Complement: The 2nd guy working at the pickup location was much better and helpful. He stated the first guy should have booked a one way and was not sure why he did not. He cancelled the first truck. That cost me $73 even though I had move less than 3 miles and rebooked it for the drop off saving me several hundred dollars. He was very helpful and trying to do the right thing. Dropped in Junction, TX without issue. Would love to get a refund on the $73-dollar first day mess up as it could have been avoided with better customer service.

This Pick up location changed my reservation and added things that I did not want and also changed the destination town. The vehicle was fairly new but had cracked windshield right where you look while driving. I have been a U-haul customer for a long time and now not sure that I will ever you again.
