I rented a 10-foot van, and it was completely empty on gas. The person I was dealing with told me to put about a quarter tank in it and promised to reimburse me around $42–$45. After I returned the van, he refused to pay me back, stopped answering, and even said he didn’t know what I was talking about. Be careful and get everything in writing.

Reservation was at 10am. Got to the location and there was no one there. Called the number on the reservation and the number was unavailable/ voicemail. Went inside the property and almost got bit by a dog that belongs to a person living in a motor home. There are several motor homes and people living in the property. I should take legal action for emotional distress of Almost being attacked by the dog. The only thing that saved me was the chain didn’t reach where I was standing. He came few feet away from me.The attendant didn’t show up till 11am. I called customer service after waiting for a long time. The attendant finally showed up. Hooked up the trailer and collected payment. No Instaructions or any paperwork on anything. All he said was he’ll email the contract. U-Haul should do an in announced property inspection to protect its customers. I would never do another rental. I have also filed an incident report with U-Haul and waiting on a response. U-Haul should waive all my fees for what I went thru that day.
Drayton BThe U-Haul I was rented was so dirty and smelled really bad I feel like I was over charged for the amount of miles I drove to what the guy told me I drove and it was my first time renting a U-Haul and didn’t think to take pictures of the miles before leaving with the truck and I had to sweep out the back of the U-Haul cause it was left so dirty I will never rent from U-Haul again such a bad experience for it being my first time renting from this company don’t recommend at all

DEON JWhen I made the reservation, the pickup location was one block from my work. However, the location I was sent to was different, and I thought I could drop it off at any U-Haul location, but that wasn't the case. I barely made the miles included. I will never rent from U-Haul again.
