On 3/8/26 I rented a uhaul truck at the Lapeer MI SELF STORAGE location. The truck got stuck in mud and I had purchased the road hazard. It took them 2 hours to get to us and another hour to release the truck so we waited 3 hours of time we had help moving. I returned the truck before the 9pm return time at 811 pm the website would not work for me to complete the online information. I text the number that I had been chatting with from uhaul about the road hazard reporting and let them know the truck was returned since I couldn't get into the website. Uhaul wants to charge me a $20 late fee. They will not remove the fee even though all this occurred. The gas was also right where we received it- just below a quarter tank.
Heather NGreat service. Quick pick up and drop off. Truck was exactly as described/expected. The woman I dealt with was kind, polite, and helpful. This is the second time I've rented from this location, and I actually have 2 that are closer to me, but I will continue to drive a few minutes further to use this location instead.
