I reserved a 10-foot truck. When I arrived apparently no 10-foot trucks were available. I spoke with a very patient customer service representative who stayed on the phone with me for almost 25 minutes trying to get things resolved. She offered upgrade me to a 15-foot truck. Ok, sure, no problem. The problem was the 15-foot truck was not parked where it was supposed to be parked (in the back lot vs. the front lot several hundred feet away), it was FILTHY, the back was unlocked, and the key was not where it was supposed to be (in the locked back of the truck). The key was eventually found under the mat in the unlocked cab of the truck. FYI. The business owner was on-site at the time to pick-up something from the business which was closed - he told me several times the business was closed. He seemed annoyed I was trying bother him; however, he was the one who told me the key was under the mat so he knew things were not as they should have been.

The staff wasn’t available at the time we dropped off the trailer. I called in the afternoon to talk to someone to make sure they knew we had dropped off the trailer. I had taken pictures of the trailer and its location on the lot.
SANDY HBoone was great, knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks, it was a great experience!
MICHAEL CWhenever the driver's door on my twenty-foot rental truck was open, a transducer produced a constant ringing/beeping. On my sedan, this happens when one tries to leave the car with either the ignition key in the lock, or with the headlights on. But, in this case, I had the headlights turned off and the keys in my pocket. This was very annoying. Cruise control would have been very appreciated. I am in the habit of using cruise control, almost all the time. It allows me to watch the road while managing (rather than manually controlling) the speed. This prevents me from inadvertently drifting above or below the speed limit. My third recommendation would be to allow a customer dropping off a rental truck to use a simple phone call to notify U-Haul that the vehicle was returned, instead of requiring the customer to have a smart phone or a phone with Internet access. My Internet access is with a computer, at home, which is hard-wired to a FiOS network. So, I do not need Internet access for my flip-phone, nor do I need the added expense, or the increased exposure to pulsed-mode RF Electromagnetic radiation. But, with the numerical keypad of a flip-phone, I could call a designated U-Haul number, enter my contract number, and notify U-Haul that the vehicle had been returned, and where, and respond to other questions. This technology has been around for about fifty years. The signage on the key drop box could provide this option for people not having smartphones or phones subscribed to Internet service. It is not right to penalize people for not having a smart phone.
DANIEL MI had a wonderful experience. The employee at the Leola location was helpful and supportive as I have never rented a uhual.
