Gerard was great! He was such a pleasure to work with. He was patient and listened to our needs. We were not only extremely satisfied with the truck but with the service he provided to us. ANDREW PThe gentleman who runs the place was helpful and professional. My issue is with the truck. To be blunt, it is a piece of junk. The steering wheel has several degrees of play, making it difficult to keep in a lane. It felt like it had been hit and tracked a little sideways, much like an airplane will “crab” in a crosswind. Overall, I would have gone to Penske if one had been available. Unfortunately I didn’t discover the drivability issue until after were loaded and on our way to our destination. Overall, I’ll give U Haul a D- for this. The only positive is that the guy running the place is a good fellow. What can y’all do? Make sure your equipment is in top working order before issuing it. If it doesn’t measure up, remove it from service.
WILLIAM LI have rented U-Haul many times, this was my worst experience. Always had everything all set when I plan a pick up yet I did not expect to have to log into the app site. Luckily I had a smart phone but it was still still difficult! If I knew I had to do this I would have done this at home prior to picking up the truck. I couldn’t get the key out of the lock box. Standing in the pouring rain! Thankfully the U-Haul agent still there and he did get the key out. He then went over the truck. This process to pick up took close to a hour!! Was a joke actually and I was not impressed! Last, I had less than 1/2 a tank of gas!! Now I I have to go fill the truck up!! Very upsetting!
