Dear U-Haul Customer Service, I am writing regarding reservation #23028989 Toy Hauler - 16ft Flatbed Utility Trailer We reserved a toy hauler on April 4 for pickup on April 11 @11:30 The purpose of the rental was to pick up a vehicle in St. Simons Island However, when we arrived at the scheduled pickup location, we were informed by Daniel that no toy haulers were available due to one being stolen. We were then told the closest available toy hauler was in McDonough, Georgia. Because of this, we had to make last-minute arrangements for a family member to drive from the Atlanta/Macon Reservation #23920644 area to pick up a toy hauler and deliver it to our hotel in St Simon’s Island. This resulted in significant inconvenience, including approximately 5½ hours one way of additional travel time and the unexpected cost of a hotel stay due to the delay $108.82. Had we been notified in advance that the trailer would not be available, we could have made alternative arrangements and avoided these extra expenses and disruptions. I would appreciate your review of this situation and consideration of compensation for the additional costs incurred. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response. David GThere was no gas in the truck. I ended up spending nearly $100 in gas for an 80 miles one way trip. The back was dirty.
