These comments are not directed towards the staff in Madoc, who were helpful and knowledgeable. However, I am very disappointed with the way in which UHaul has billed for these rentals, and how hidden charges have rendered the costs exorbitant. I am also extremely disappointed in how my insurance coverage for the trailer declined to cover damage to my vehicle. The truck I used was an out of state vehicle that was not running properly . The gas mileage started out fine and then become poor, with nobody acknowledging or even investigating possible leaks or engine troubles despite several reports from me . I brought the truck back with an empty tank in case there was a hazard from a possible fuel leak. Extra mileage charges were also added without any warning at the time of rental that the charges were 1 dollar per km. I would not have rented this particular vehicle had I known. My move started in Kingston. The only truck available was in Madonna. I was charged mileage for the return trip and then mileage again when nobody was available to help load the trailer two days later. There is also confusion about the cost of the trailer , which was supposed to have been billed out from the 3rd, when it was picked up, as per the kind folks in Madoc. I would appreciate a manager reviewing this matter and resolving it fairly. Thank you.

Drop off location was closed when we dropped both the trailer and then the truck the next day. It wasn’t late at night when we dropped the trailer, and because both pieces were on the same contract number I had to drop the trailer and leave it without closing the contract because we had nowhere to put the trailer at the destination the truck was going to unload. Thankfully the trailer was still there when we came back the next day after unloading the truck and I was able to do the pics again to return both the truck and trailer.
SAMANTHA WWhen picking up the unit, they did not inspect the unit prior to leaving. Just gave us the keys and didn’t inspect the gas either. Then upon drop off, suddenly they cared about the unit and charged us extra for the gas when it wasn’t full to begin with.
Richard DThe only way to describe this entire rental experience is unfortunately, a 'shitshow'. Now that my move is completed, I'll be contacting U-Haul directly to tell them the details. I highly recommend you do NOT use the Madoc location for your rental needs.
