Trailer and Towing Supplies
It wasn't clean in the cab and smelled like smoke. The gentleman who met me was a very nice man!! I believe his name was Jamie!!! Because of him, I was ok!!!
Need just a little more lighting for night time drop-offs.
had to wait because no one there, trailer has a tire with a slow leek in it. told action towing need to check. droped off and still no one there
This was the absolute worst experience moving in my entire life. The drop off location was not well marked and no one was there to help. It took an hour to drop off when it should have taken a few minutes. The app and the website don't work well and we're completely not helpful. Customer service wait time is 20-30 minutes each time. I've had to wait 3 separate times during this awful experience. In what universe does a 6x12 fit 3 bedroom apartment. False advertisement. I will never be using u-haul again and I will strongly discourage everyone I know to never use it again
Job well done
The truck was in excellent condition and modern. Service from Action Towing was great! No problems with the travel or drop off. They made this part of our move less stressful. Thanks!
I asked for equipment in Centralia because I was charged too much for mileage. Deposit was higher.
I had to upgrade trailers on the fly and they were very accommodating.
The location was great. The equipment was not good at all. I have recently rented the same trailer with no problems. But this particular trailer was a bad experience. The ratchet mechanisms for tightening the straps were rusted and almost inoperable. The tightening mechanism for the ball hitch was the same and ended up not getting tightened, causing a disconnect and damage to my truck. Would seem as if maintenance is not being performed on the equipment.
I was originally supposed to pick up the trailer at Bradshaw Auto Detailing in Mount Vernon IL. I got there at 11 and the owners wife told me that she couldn't help and there was nothing she could do for me, absolute worst customer service I've ever received. I will not ever go there again and Uhaul needs to rescind their contract with them.
I dropped off on Sunday morning so no-one was there but this was OK as all I needed was to drop off. The trailer I used was well balanced and easy to take off.
Location was small.
Outstanding Affordable & Professional
Car transport wheel bearing on driver's side rear burned up and the wheel fell off. Obviously no preventive maintenance had been done on it, possibly ever.
The gentleman that helped me with our 20 foot out of town rental truck was thorough and quickly got us through the process. The truck was clean, in great shape with plenty of gas. No problems at all.
WE RENTED FOR MT. VERNON IL TO SPRINGFIELD IL ONE WAY. DROP OFF IN SPFLD. THE AGREEMENT SAID WE WERE TO RETURN TO MT VERNON. GOT THIS CORRECTED AT SPRINGFIELD
I only needed the truck 1 day. Charged me for 3 days rental and 3 days insurance. Also charged me for a lot of miles more than it was to my destination.
We asked and paid for a dolly and straps and they were not with the truck when we picked it up.
Didn't have a truck in my area so I traveled a distance to Gerso we had to pay for EXTRA miles. The guy was rude. I was told my credit card wouldn't be charged if I paid cash but it still was. They told me they would email me a receipt which I Didn't get. I've used Uhaul before but I've never had a problem but this was just too much of a hassle.
When I returned the truck I was told that I owed about $30 more than I actually did. Whoever entered the ending millage from the last time this truck was rented entered it incorrectly. The computer showed xxx726 and it was actually xxx762. After looking in the computer for about 10 minutes the guy finally just cancelled the rental and let me have it for free, which was fine with me. Not necessarily what I was asking for, but it was apparently the only way he could figure out to correct the problem. What truly irritated me was when he insinuated that it was MY fault for not checking the odometer against the rental agreement before I left. He never asked the guy who rented me the truck if HE checked it. Which he didn't. Not sure how the system works for recording millage from the vehicles, but someone needs to educate this dealer on how it's done. I hope it was just an honest mistake.
There was no heat in the truck and on a 20 degree day we had to drive over 100 miles and froze!!
Sliding scale on per mile charge. More miles less cost per mile.
