Keep the equipment in good shape & maintain the personal service.

Extremely professional and friendly staff. Moving is stressful but they made that part of the process seamless. So VERY appreciated. Thank you so much!!!

I had to park my trailer in their parking lot, unhook the trailer and lift it off the ball. I felt this was not good service. The gentleman in Penticton was very helpful and accommodating by contrast.

Excellent service.

This location and its staff are great. I only had to deal with the previous franchise & its owner was horrific and I later found out he had a reputation all over town as being a dreadful man to have to deal with. The last time I used this location I was dreading the idea of having to deal with the previous U-haul location and owner/operator until I was told that u-haul had changed management and dealing with this relatively newer location, staff and management has made all the difference in the world.

Nothing, Woody was SUPER to deal with.

Woody was awesome!

Rented from these folks before. Always very accommodating and they go the extra mile

There lady at this location was awesome! The truck was perfect for the short but sweet move. Took the truck at 9:oo am and returned it by 2:30pm Saturday March 31st. One problem re money for mileage. We only drove the truck once to 6 mile storage, then back to Nelson BC (tiny town); maybe 1 mile around town equals 13 or 14 miles maximum ... however, I was charged for 25 miles which cost $25. more than the estimate? Thank you for reviewing his concern. Lorraine Ballantine 250-354-0110.

Very satisfied!

The young lady was a pleasure to deal with.

I have used this location a number of times. They are clean and efficient.

Many thanks! Wow! I learned a lot by driving that vehicle. I wish Ford or GMC would offer a windshield wiper option on the rear windows of their their vans and the metal shieled /guard or whatever you call it, behind the driver - the one with the small holes in it - makes it difficult to be absolutely sure what is driving on your left or right. I did not like that. Great van, though! Cheers, Christian Torbik Whitehorse, Yukon Territory Canada 9.2.2018 2:15 p.m.

I dealt with Woody the owner Kootenay glass he was awesome to deal with and made the whole process effortless

Well the lights blew a fuse in my friends truck and caused alsorts of delays!! No happy with how uhaul felt with us on the phone! And that the time wasted was our problem. I don't think I'll be recommending U-Haul. Definitely didn't feel accomodated with our situation!

I will never rent from U-Haul again. There are no winter tires on rear-wheel drive vehicles... in the Canadian winter. I was informed of this AS I WAS CLIMBING IN AFTER SIGNING THE PAPERS. I drove that van from the vendor to the mall where I work, about two kilometres. After initially declining the insurance I went back to add it and was lied to... the customer service rep said it wasn’t possible and I learned afterwards that isn’t true—it’s on the website that if you bring the Uhaul for an inspection you can add it. I strongly suspect it was because it was 1:52 when I walked in to add it, and they close at 2 on saturdays. After work I tried to park at my new place (a block from the mall) in an inch of snow. It was impossible to get it out, or even all the way IN to the parking spot, and my boyfriend and I had to dig and push it out, using half a bag of pumice to gain traction. I then drove it to a spot a block away, facing downhill so there’d be momentum to get started again. The mud and snow tires and an empty cabin meant that I was fish tailing on ice. I called Uhaul help line and told them and they told me that I should speak to the manager (and I will) and that I won’t be charged as the equipment was unusable even BEFORE it started snowing on Sunday. It’s unsafe to rent out equipment in Nelson that doesn’t have winter tires... and at the very least it’s underhanded to not inform the customer prior to signing forms. I’m livid.

Fast, Friendly, Easy & Affordable. Thanks!

While I understand the logistical challenges it may present for UHaul to put snow flake rated winter tires on their vehicles in the Kootenay area (vs. unsuitable Mud & Snow tires) this should be an absolute essential for these vehicles. Performance in fair winter conditions is abysmal! Staff and service here were good, but UHauls failure to ensure correct safety precautions are met will cause accidents and lives. The added time it took to drive at well below the legal speed limit, the 5 times I was stuck in 2 inches of snow and had to get sand and a shovel to move this ( and stop it sliding out of control into other vehicles) not mention the inconvenience this caused to other road uses cost me time ( therefore money) missed opportunity, frustration and embarrassment! There was no offer of a discount or refund. Shame on you UHaul for failing to listen to Canadian needs! Will try at all costs never to rent one of these vehicles in winter again! No hesitation going back to this location however as they are super friendly and are trying hard to do what they can with the cards they’ve been dealt!

the vehicle was clean but mud and snow tires were on it, which are not suitable for winter driving around this area, and could not use the vehicle for the purpose rented, because of the tires.

Friendliest manager :)

the reservation system tried to charge me for an extra day rental, and showed an incorrect pickup time

Once again I have no problem with the location. They knew nothing of the problems that had been caused by U Haul itself.
