The location was very sketchy and uninviting. At the exact moment that I pulled up to the address, a Newark, NJ ticket agent pulled up next to me and started harassing me about parking. He threatened to give me a ticket. I didn't even have time to park and find help to return the trailer until someone who saw what was going on came out to assist me. He then directed me around the block to the parking location for the trailer, which was not the address given to me from U--Haul. I was constantly looking over my shoulder while detaching the trailer rental, positioning it and completing the drop-off process. The location staff (who were not U-Haul employees) were very helpful though. But the drop-off location (where the trailer had to be physically parked) was actually 1 block away, in an old parking lot. This was a neighborhood U-Haul location and NOT a real U-Haul rental center. I would not recommend this location for U-Haul rental. You are literally on your own, which can be ok if you are familiar with the U-Haul app (which is useful), but the neighborhood does not seem safe. Even municipal workers (ticket agent) contributed to making the area uninviting. Mind you, this is on a Monday, around 9:30AM!
