JAMES WVehicle wasn’t available in bomanville where I booked originally due to a dead battery. I was contacted by U-Haul rep on phone and he advised I would not be charged if I went to another location in Newcastle to pick up a vehicle due to the battery issue. I was billed full price and had to pay the extra km’s as well from Newcastle back to bomanville and back again to return due to U-Haul not having a vehicle ready in Bomanville. Hoping this gets sorted.
Benjamin HEvery thing was smooth and seamless. The van was ready to go. I declined the $19.95 extra insurance, which was not on the final bill. However there was a $5.00 safe driver fee hidden in the bill. Had I not noticed it, it would have been charged to my card. Once discussed it was also removed. I think this is probably standard practice across all locations, but buyer beware. Read your statements before you pay. The customer service was very good. I would use them again in the future.
