First off the store stops serving uhaul customers every time another customer enters the store !! That’s enough to make a person scream !! Not just the last visit did this happen, it’s every time , maybe they need more help . The truck was very dirty , not muddy dirt from the road that can be cleaned easily , dirt over the whole interior from never being cleaned !! I’ve rented at other locations and always get clean trucks . Maybe these folks are in the wrong business, I had to hose out the entire back of the van and let it dry before I could put stuff in it , I lost precious time over this. That’s why I had to keep the truck a second day. I have pictures of what it looked like after I was done cleaning it if you would like to see them maybe you could show them to the people that run the gas station so they know what a clean vehicle looks like people put their personal possessions in these trucks and it’s not fair that they come completely dirty.call me

I do NOT have a cell phone! So, it was totally inappropriate the first e-mail that I got asking to bring "A well Charged Smartphone". I made the reservation on a computer that I could not take with me! But staff at the location accommodated me and made the inputs in their laptop. Also, totally inappropriate in Canada is: "additional contact+employment+relative's information" all these "will be called & verified" We are (here) in Canada and is U-haul does not want to rent equipment HERE, just do not do it! Canadian privacy laws prohibit gathering personal information NOT related to the contract. Like asking for "Residential Lease Agreement-current". I do not see any valid reason for U-haul to know if I own or rent and where. Please edit this very intrusive and inappropriate e-mail for EACH country we want to do business in. We are not in China, Cuba or Brazil, etc.

JAMES WVehicle wasn’t available in bomanville where I booked originally due to a dead battery. I was contacted by U-Haul rep on phone and he advised I would not be charged if I went to another location in Newcastle to pick up a vehicle due to the battery issue. I was billed full price and had to pay the extra km’s as well from Newcastle back to bomanville and back again to return due to U-Haul not having a vehicle ready in Bomanville. Hoping this gets sorted.
