Very poor customer service skills. When I called U-Haul to rent a truck, I was told to â€œcall another location because we are â€˜almost' outâ€! I went online and actually found a truck at the same location I called which was at 1015-25 12th St. Philadelphia.

The entire "check in online" system is a hack. It took me a half hour to get my vehicle because if you start checking in online they can't finish checking you in on their computer

Stop overbooking. Don't tell me I have 5 hours when I paid and booked for 24.
I did a online rental for 24 hr rental (I even have a email proof that I reserved a 24 hr 10' truck); the agent called to let me know that it isn't available in the Vine st. location. So he booked me for South Philly location. I pick it up without any doubt, thinking that it is 24 hr rental. Really, why would I question that I have a 24hr rental when I asked for a 24hr rental? I got a call after 12 hour saying "why isn't the truck returned? if it isn't returned by an hour, we are going to charge you because you are inconveniencing other" I tried to reason with the store worker, store manager; "why would I travel further to rent a truck for shorter amount of duration than the one near me? This isn't my fault and it is on whoever put me on the reservation" They talked to me like I am at fault and I basically will be paying this extra fee. South philly Uhaul store manager put me on tranfer with customer service. Which basically was not helpful. I asked for a supervisor on there and all they are repeating is that the store manager told you that you'll be charged with a fee and it isn't their fault. I told the customer service supervisor to go listen to the call I was on with the customer agent who transferred me to South Philly UHAUL and she said she will and hung up on me and did not call back. Everyone was tossing me around like I'm not their problem and just wanted to scam me into paying this fee. I called the South philly uhaul store again where the store manager said "I'm not going to do this back and forth, you will be charged with the fee." Eventually hour later, I called customer service again. and a different call agent lady heard my story and changed the reservation to 23 hour without a problem. Not a single person besides the last lady on the all was willing to help or listen to my situation. HORRIBLE customer service. I felt like the South Philly store manager scams people this way for money somehow. And I really lost trust in Uhaul for this.

Went to return my one way rental, clearly stated in the contract. They said we had to return to the place we rented it pay $500 in fines. They finally worked it out. This is a higher up comment, but it's annoying that if you've started the mobile process for checking into your uhaul, you can't switch to in person. I was having some technical issues, so it took some time to figure out the process on my phone while I was in the store. It would've been easier to just switch over to doing it in person, since I was in the store.
I had a pretty perfect experience. the staff were helpful and cheery, the price was right
Where to park the vehicle if the store is closed at the return time. It was not clear in which lot to park or where was an acceptable place to park.
Online checking was cumbersome. Facility resisted override. Checkinctook an hour. Elevators didn't work much if the time, extending further my move out
I should have checked in at home, it took a while to clear and get OKd using the app.
Have the Correct location of the car so I don't have to walk around and find it. Pre load it with the items I rented.
We've been trying to socially distance responsibly, we we tried to check-in online with my cell phone. That didn't work (couldn't read my location -- software issue, alright, it happens, no problem). Went inside to check in. Of the three employees visible, only one was wearing a mask - another was wearing a mask that didn't cover their nose, and the third wasn't wearing a mask at all. On return, of the two employees who checked us back in, only one bothered to put a mask on, the other employee didn't even bother. Now, because we've been in contact with unmasked people in a closed space, we'll have to isolate. Very disappointing.
I the online check-in and pick up did not work and ate an hour into my reservation time.
There was no mention of COVID-19. I think it's important you make the customer feel the van is safe.
All staff couldn't have been nicer! Check-in process was easy and efficient. Return team member was especially personable and engaging. All got me in and out faster and easier than I expected - an ide customer service experience!

I have submitted a service complaint about this facility already, but the staff at the facility do not represent U-Haul very well. I had 3 separate issues from the storage, truck rental and leaking unit that ruined my artwork. On top of that, the staff at that location made every issue I had even worst because they lied and argued with me about everything that happened. Please reference my initial service complaint.
I recommend that when they deliver the vehicles to the customers they make sure that the car is in good conditions throughout the car so that there are no problems like mine, the car they gave me was crashed and then later they wanted to charge me.
Improve the app, it is very unstable and gets stuck during the check in process often. Had to re-open multiple times. Unclear messaging during/before verification.
