No one told me there would be a $30 refueling charge in addition to $4 a gallon for gas fill,I always pay at other car rental and never recived an additional charge and when I asked about it the girl was rude and said that’s how it is ,so I asked to speak to the manager she said there was none untill tomorrow. I should have been told upfront about the fee, there is a gas station rite on the corner I would have filled it up myself for $30.also not that this is your concern but I recived a ticket for parking to long when your company has all trucks parked on the street taking up all the free parking spots.

The south philly location was great, great people and a painless transaction. My only issue was the fact that I scheduled a pick up at a location 15 miles away (45 minutes) and not only was the truck and trailer not there but the workers at the store were unbelievably rude it was unreal. I also scheduled this pickup 4 days in advance. The workers at the store snickered and said it wasn't their problem that the equipment was not there and they offered no assistance to make the situation right. I had to personally call a uhaul rep and find the equipment at the other location on my own with absolutely no help from them. Due to this I am not sure if I will ever use uhaul again for when I need to rent equipment or trucks.

While in the process of moving, I had left my black leather bookbag inside the truck. Inside of the bag had my work credentials, identity documents, personal items and two pack of cigarettes. I thought that I could've picked up the bag the next morning but come to find out they claimed that they didn't find anything. I have made a police report and also called corporate to check surveillance but the company never got back to me. I am very disappointed and upset that they would allow a thief to take my belongings and get away with it. I don't think that I will ever rent out another Uhaul in the future.

The guy receiving the truck was kinda funny intimidating my self saying that the truck was dirty with some dust in the cabin and the back area was not swept property (even dough we swept and yes it was some particles of dirt which I agree because it was there ) so he came to me saying that you want to pay at the office from $ 60.00 to $100.00 or you want to give me $30.00 and I will clean it for you even he took out from his packet a pack of cash saying that he really did not need to do the cleaning unfortunately I had people waiting for me so I couldn't take it back and do the cleaning ,I end up giving this guy the $30.00 dlls. When I was waiting for a receipt thru the window saw that it was a Chinese guy cleaning a uhaul van. I had another rental on a different location and the person in charge told me that it was ok to have some dirt ,that she will charge me only if we leave trash bags or something big inside the truck .The person today was really polite and pleasant I will definitely tell the people I know to get to this location and not at 12 st & Washington Ave.

The customer service rep was friendly and very helpful. I could tell she was swamped but she kept a smile on her face and and did a superlative job at clearing the line. Wish I could have remembered her name. She was awesome!

I am writing because of the extremely poor experience I had with Uhaul this past week. My decision to choose Uhaul was based on what I thought would be a quick, simple, and efficient process, and it turned out to be none of these things. My original plan to pick up my Uhaul cargo van was to pick it up around 6:30pm, but as you can see this was pushed back until 8:45pm. When I originally set up my reservation, I was told that I would receive a verification code to verify my account. By 5:00pm, after checking both my spam and inbox countless times and trying to resent the verification code twice, it was clear that the verification code wasn't coming. I then made my first call to customer service -- I was under the impression that I would need my mobile phone to unlock the Uhaul once i arrived at the pick-up location and that I needed an account to be able to do this. Since I hadn't received my verification code yet, and it was nearing the time of pickup, I decided to call and inquire as to why it wasn't coming and/or if I could either receive a verification code over the phone or if I could simply verify my account over the phone. This resulted in no help, and the customer service representative decided maybe we should change my email address on file (gmail.com) for my reservation and then maybe the code would successfully send to that mailbox. Once we switched the email to my second email address (chubb.com), a code was sent to my gmail.com email address which contained a link that led to an error. Nothing came through to my chubb.com email address. I called Uhaul back and explained the situation to the customer service rep: I made a reservation and it was now 7:00pm and I still had no idea whether or not I had an account. I told him how I was on the phone for 10 minutes with a previous customer service rep and how my email address on file was switched (from gmail.com to chubb.com) and he said that he would try to send the verification code again. At this point I had multiple verification codes sent to both my gmail.com and my chubb.com email addresses, none of which worked. I tried logging in COUNTLESS times, logging in by cell phone number, email address, contract number, etc., and all of these repeatedly resulted in nothing but errors and repetition of the same process again and again. Finally, the customer service rep said that since I was able to access the page that said "I am ready to pick up my truck" that I would be able to access the vehicle once I was on location (since it would track my location by gps). At this point I was even later so I asked him if I could push back my pickup time, which he processed for me. When I arrived at the pick up location, I tried again and again to press "I am ready to pick up my truck" to no avail -- it would lead me to a page telling me to set up a username, which I would fill out the required fields for and then be sent to a page that said "Error, please contact us." I then called customer servi

When I showed up a guy working there asked what I needed. I told him I had a reservation for a van and he asked my name. I gave him my name and he did some stuff on the computer then walked away. 20 minutes later I started to suspect he wasn't coming back... he never did

It was cold out. Not really that much of a big deal, but just add a note that you need either a local driver's license or a way to verify the identity if you have an out of state license. Save a bit of time.

The location wasn't the issue(12th & Washington Ave). I was bounced around from the location where I initially made my reservation(2200 Island Ave, Phila Pa), to 20th & Oregon Ave. From there we were told to go to 8th & Oregon Ave then finally they told us to go to 12th & Washington Ave. i was deeply inconvenienced as the traveling to all these other U-haul locations bit into my move time. I finished the move a lot later than initially planned. My overall satisfaction is very low.

Tried Mobile pick up and it was not any quicker than using a service agent. Agents were very friendly and helped quickly exchange a van that had climate control that did not function.

In the center city (Philly this case) parking a trailer is a challenge. It would be good if your locations would allow some overnight parking for a trailer before you return it.

I rented a 17' truck, but they only had the 15'. Would've liked to have been told this ahead of time so I didn't lose that extra footage so I could've adjusted the movers I found off of your website

When I called to make my order I was very happy with the person I was dealing with. I needed to do a long run but I wanted to be able to pick up and drop off the same location and they were very accommodating with me and said that would be fine we put you in as a one-way, but returning to the same location. I was very happy. I called to confirm and the person I confirmed with. Confirmed that I would be returning to the same location. Then on the day I picked up the U-Haul the person I picked up the U-Haul with, told me to return to the same location. And showed me where to park if I returned after the store closed. Then came time for me to return the U-Haul. And I was told I was at the wrong location. I was supposed to return to a different location in Philadelphia. This was the first I was hearing of this. They tried to put me in the system because they had room for me to park at the location and the system would not let them. I ultimately had to drive to a for the location. There was lots of traffic so I wasted gas and I wasted mileage that I will be charge for. If I am charged for extra mileage and gas I will complain. And I will do everything I cannot to pay those charges. Do not charge me those charges. I chose U-Haul over The competitors because of how accommodating it was. It turned out not to be accommodating and everybody was perpetrating either a liar or negligence. I will think twice about using U-Haul again unless somebody reaches out to me to apologize

When I picked up this old truck, with over 16xxxx miles on it, the truck was horrible to drive. if I didn't already arranged the street parking permits, I would of cancelled my booking at the time of pickup. When I returned the truck, the guy not only asked me to sweep, he also made me moped the whole truck inside. I was just used the truck to move household stuff.....
