We paid cash when we picked up the u-haul and had to pay a further $100.00 deposit because we paid cash (nobody understood why) which was to be refunded when the truck was dropped off. Drop off staff had to reach out to local rep as to how to deal with it. We've been told we will be getting a check in 7-10 days which is fine, no problem. I don't understand why the drop off business should be out of pocket for money they didn't collect in the first place. I'm sure there are people who pay cash and are relying on getting their $100.00 back when the vehicle is returned.
