The federal highway store was atrocious and made me rent from this location even though it is out of my way.

Maybe let the customer know that the 10' truck doesn't have a ramp. This was something we didn't know and were too happy with

I dropped off after hours and the place was under construction after the storm

I was very pleased with the level of service at this location. Their building was being renovated, but the service was exemplary.

I called ahead to reserve a U Haul truck for the first time. They told me the price and I agreed, booked it over the phone and showed up to pick the truck up. Upon arriving at around 11 am the location happens to be under construction and there are no signs or instructions as to where to find the office, yet there are trucks everywhere. So I can the phone number again and ask if I'm in the right location and SYLVIA answered the phone, behaves very rude to me as if I'm an idiot for not knowing where the office is and seems practically insulted I'm calling to confirm I'm at the right place. She then HANGS UP on me when I kindly asked her to repeat something she said because I didn't understand. Then I come to discover I will be charged by the mile, something the agent never mentioned to me before I arrived. Another problem I had with this company is that I locked my wallet inside the truck and needed someone to open it for me as I had already returned the keys. No one was able to help me from corporate or from this location. UHAUL recommended me a lock smith at my own expense and then DIDNT provide an email confirming that this company was authorized to open the truck. I called multiple times and the most they would do is send a text message from a randomly generated phone number, something that anyone can do and does nothing for me. After hasseling for an email I never got it was already 4 hours later and eventually I had some unscrupulous jerks charge me $150 just to open the door!!! It could have just paid someone to move all my things for me. Now it's Monday and I am hoping I will be refunded for the miles I did not use on that truck. I grew up using UHAUL but now my first adult experience using this company turned out to be horrendous. Unless someone reaches out with a locksmith reimbursement and an apologize I will forever seek other companies.

The location was closed when we arrived to pick up the rental. We never received an explanation.

At the time of this review this location is completely under construction. Business is being conducted from the back of a Uhaul truck. The staff did assist me at guiding the 5x8 trailer I had rented into a spot on there lot. The staff also unhooked the trailer from my truck. The only issue I have is I asked to reserve the trailer I returned that I possibly would be needing it again. When we went over pricing, I was quoted $386 for 4 days of rental. When I rented the trailer earlier, it was from the same amount of time (4 days) and it only cost me $92. I asked why there was a $294 difference for renting the same trailer for the same time, but I wasn't given an answer. I don't believe the guy knew a correct answer, but it wasn't worth spending almost three times the cost that it originally did.

Better Vans The van I rented had a alignment issue and was pulling to the right which made it hard to steer and drive long distance.

Friendly and helpful staff

If the "next customer" is treated as well as I was by Stacey and Traivonne, they will be in for a treat indeed. Both - and especially Stacey with whom I dealt most directly - exceeded all normal expectations in helping me out on an extremely time-sensitive condo move after I had an equipment breakdown just feet from their Pompano Beach location. How lucky for me! I can't thank them enough, nor can I thank the U-Haul company enough for securing such employees. Treat these two well. Their caring and competence are extraordinary!

Nothing ..,,.It was a very pleasant experience dealing with the people at this location

While the location was under construction, they did a great job of accommodating customers. And this was the nicest and newest rental truck I ever had.

They were remodeling the building so were in temporary office. Great staff made up for strange temporary office.

The person that assisted me was excellent. The only thing that bothered me was that she is working out of the back of a box truck in extreme heat with broken / inadequate air conditioning , no bathroom or running water. I think the work conditions suck! Why don't they provide an office trailer like they have at a construction site. It looks like they have months to go before construction is complete. I would not treat an employee like that. Stop being cheap and provide better working conditions for your employees. Uhaul has the money. How long has this been going on? It is disgusting how you treat people!

We delivered the truck after hours, left the keys in the box. So we didn't talk to anyone or really pay attention to details. We parked the truck and put keys in box, that was it.

First, the 2 associates at the location were very nice people. This has nothing to do with them. At all. However, when you require your associates to work out of the back of a uhaul van with a make shift office, your customer service may only extend so far. There were about 10 fans in the truck and 3 AIR CONDITIONING UNITS to keep them relatively cool in South Florida weather. It's extremely unprofessional to set up a make shift office in the back of a van and expect consumers or employees to even care about rhe process if that's how you present yourself as a business. Your associates were nice, but we're very uncomfortable when I asked them how long they had to work like this.... it's ridiculous. I'm sure people are grateful to even have a job in general, and you are mostly likely taking advantage of 2 very compotent and dedicated workers, by forcing them to run your business out of a uhaul?? Cutting costs, perhaps?? In every way possible. I previously resided near this location, it has been under construnction for quite some time..and doesn't look like it will done anytime soon.

There was a lot of construction going on around, and the numerous fences made it confusing as to where to go. Right after we arrived, a semi truck pulled in (as it ran over trailer hitches) and we have to quickly move out of the way. Obviously, this is no fault of the facility, but this made the experience a little more hectic.
