They gave me a truck that was wedged between multiple trucks instead of giving me the next one in the row same size. It took a half hour to maneuver it out! Check engine light was on the entire time and the steering wheel play made it feel like a death trap. Had to constantly correct. Not my first time renting a truck, this one was scary. Also wasn’t told until the day prior or less that the pick up location changed which was inconvenient all around. Not the best experience overall. Staff was fine!

The trailer we received was filled with 6 soaking wet furniture blankets. We did not request any. We had to dry out the trailer before putting our furniture in and the pads were a huge inconvenience. We had to remove them, air them out and figure out how to put them back in without ruining our items. We should get our money back. We were also disappointed that we never can rent locally. Ever. There is no inventory in Bridgton, ME.

Everything was outstanding. From the friendly and helpful service to the clean truck. I'll be back!

I was quoted one price and mileage deal over the phone: $94 for a 10' truck and 188 miles covered for a 1 day rental. I was told it was a special deal. This was all verbal, it did not show up in your reservation. When I went to pick up the truck, the price kept changing in the computer reservation form, and I ended up being charged $20.40 for extra miles, but I only drove the truck 124 miles, didn't even get to the 188 promised me. The man at the desk did his best to hold to the $94 quote, by deducting when the computer tried to correct him. Why isn't the price and mileage listed in your reservation form?...at this point, it's my word against yours...no paper trail.

Get your computer FIXED. This is ridiculous in this day and age to have your front end system so poorly updated. This is the 2nd rental I have done in a week and the personnel are great but you're clearly not prioritizing your computer upgrade high enough.

Made my reservation at the Scarborough Maine location a week in advance. We were traveling to pick up an item, so we needed it only one way. Was called by that location while we were on our way to be told they didn't have the equipment, and that they only reserve one way units the day before. We were traveling to an unfamiliar area so the optional places she gave us, I had no idea as too were they were. Bottom line reserving a unit for a one way trip the day before the scheduled pick is very bad policy. We did eventually get a unit off of the maintenance line in Portland.

Could have more staff at rental counter. Waiting time to long. Had a 8:30 AM pick up and did not got checked in till 9AM. TO LONG.

I have used the mobile check out/in process. I had to find the van in another lot only to have to go back to the office and wait in line to pick up the key. Then walk all the way back to the second lot. This defeats the purpose of a mobile check out.

I complained at the store about the reservation process and the shear stupidity of it and still have not heard back almost 3 weeks later. My reservation pickup location was changed and I did not receive a phone or text until the day BEFORE my move. it was a local move and it ended up costing me an extra $50-$60 just for the mileage and gas for the location the pretty much forced me to pick up and drop at because of the non-existent notice. I'd like my mileage refunded if not the whole fee, and I cant believe how rude and unhelpful the store personnel were and especially the "customer service reps" on the phone. Her response was that how they've done it for the 13 years I've been here. I doubt that's true and even if it is that doesn't make it smart

The app is a disaster. Tried for 40 minutes to use it - it kept asking for the same information over and over and over. Wouldn't have been faster to wait in line because there was a line out the door (as usual).

when I returned the uhaul in Portland at marginal way Daniel told me I couldn't get my cash refund till Monday morning due to him closing the cash box early. This wasn't acceptable since I paid in cash and was told I would get my deposit in cash in Augusta however now I have to use my card to buy pizza for my family for dinner tonight and I don't have enough in my account so now I have to overdraft my account to pay for this pizza because U-Haul wouldn't give me my refund the way it should have been given to me. So now I have spent bout 125 for the rental 46 on gas and an overdraft fee of 35 dollars due to the neglagence of uhaul..Daniel only said sorry sir I don't know what to say.......didn't have any answers but all I know is that cash is accessible until you deposit into a bank cuz it's usually just any cash bag that you can open up. I've cashed a drawer out before....just causes more work for the employee who shouldn't of closed the box early just cuz he wanted to leave.....at this point I will never use u haul again because something that should of cost only hundred and 60 bucks is now costing me almost 200 and it's u hauls fault....I don't find this fair and I'm extremely dissatisfied with Portland Maine customer service he said he would re print the invoice that I handed him that he lost and then when I said that would be great he looked at me and said I can leave his store I said I'm not leaving till j get the print out he promised and then he said he would call the cops on me for being in the store ...great customer service right there

The only flaw in my experience was neglect of including hand dolly with my truck; however, when I called,!the $10.00 fee was removed from my bill and all was well. Thanks for enthusiastically taking care of the problem!

Very efficient, especially drop-off.

Stop SCAMMING your customers by telling me to fill the truck back to 7/8 of a tank, but you only gave me 3/4 of a tank so you charged me for fuel. You SUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!

They did a great job, got me out quickly.

Maybe try to have more reps at the counter at peak times however on both days I had courteous and very helpful service. My agent yesterday--wish I had looked more closely at his name tag but close to Elinifier--that's a rough remembrance!--was particular nice, efficient and helpful. On the eighth, agent was swamped but took the time to make sure I got just what I needed. Thank you.

Truck was clean in both times I rented this week. First truck (10’) smelled like someone was smoking in it? Second truck (15’) was hard to start.

My interaction with the employees and overall experience was helpful and smooth. It made our move much less stressful and more enjoyable. Thanks to everyone over at the Marginal Way location!

Don’t advertise the web-based reservations as QUICK. Having to wait til you’re at the rental site means people in line ( and there were 10 of them) will get waited on before you do. It takes a long time to go through all the steps on your phone.

The customer service at the counter was very poor. I had to talk with customer service people several times and each time it took a long time for them to access the information and get through the computer program.

Train wreck operation with franchise owner/manager needing a lot of work on basic customer service. I will go out of my way to avoid them in future and have/will tell others

The girl at the counter was very rude and made it more then apparent that she hates her job and don’t want to be there. Will not ent from that location again

At the time of drop off there were 2 employees working at the desk and a line of about 10 ppl waiting. I waited in line for approximately 20 minutes and not a single movement occurred within the line. Luckily I was able to skip the line ultimately because my truck, which I properly parked in the return inventory line, needed to be checked in and moved so they needed the key from me.

Long wait for pick up. Expensive for half day short trip.
