All was good except i had told the U-haul staff that i could only get the trailer back at 6 pm knowing they closed at 5. They never told me that to return it i would have to create an account and take pictures and show my location. That should of been established prior to picking it up. I almost missed the cut off time because i had to create an account and log in with pictures and stuff. This should of been explained up from so the customer doesnt have any delays.

The practice if changing the pickup location with less than 24 hours notice is not good. I respect that you have many resources to manage, but I submit that a person moving has even more with fewer options for recourse when plans change at the last minute.

The general manager was rude and tried to rip me off for 50 bucks had I not been paying attention I would’ve been ripped off then threaten to throw me out of the store when I didn’t like him trying to charge me $50 extra

I am potentially filing a claim against U-Haul, the employee I dealt with this morning was convinced I had a wiring issue for my trailer hitch hook up, they yanked a bunch of fuses and such and would not allow me to connect the hitch myself, I could clearly see that the plug wasn't fully plugged in. Shortly after pulling away from the building a message came up saying, "service 4wd" , after researching, apparently by miss-connecting the wiring harness can result in a short to the 4wd system. I am having my vehicle looked at tomorrow to determine if U-Haul caused my 4wd issues or not or if it was a coincidence.

Very unhappy with the manner we were dealt with when trying to rent a vehicle. The attendant on duty would not rent us an enclosed truck when there were two on the lot. Ended up renting a pickup and transporting an expensive leather couch in the rain...the TWO enclosed trucks were in the same place today when we returned the truck...NEVER MOVED. Only needed to go 4.2 miles!!!

I wanted to rent the truck for two days but was told I could only rent it for one. In what world do businesses operate like that? If I went into a pizza parlor and ordered two pizzas would it make sense for them to tell me I could only order one because they were worried about running out the next day? Only having the truck for one day Made my move much much more stressful and difficult.

The 3 times I've used Uhaul, I made reservations to pick up from certain locations. No one from Uhaul reached out to me to confirm. It was only when I called Uhaul that they told me I'd have to pick up from other locations than my preferred locations. This last time was the final straw. I literally lived next to a Uhaul location and made the reservation weeks in advance and still I had to drive 15+ miles to pick up a truck. I'm never using Uhaul again. Terrible company.

The truck seemed older and had a number of dinks as well as wear/damage. Before I returned it the check engine light came on. The cab dome light never worked and the driver side sun visor support was broken off the ceiling. Additionally when I went to this store on Friday to reserve a truck for Saturday I was told that there were none available. While sitting in thier parking lot I called the agent in the next town and reserved a truck for Saturday. Any guess where they asked me to pick it up? Yep at the store that had just told me they didn’t have any.

I rented a truck and an auto transporter. The truck was in very good condition, only a year old and with low miles. I had no issues with the truck and it worked very well. The auto transporter that I was given was clearly not inspected and was dangerous to operate. I am very lucky that I chose to double check everything before I left for my 900 mile drive. The tread on two of the tires were dangerously separated. Also, the wheels were installed either crooked, or there was a bearing issue, and the tread was dangerously thin on the inner half of the tire. The tread was so dangerously separated that it was literally bubbling up, and it could be pressed on by touch. I had to return to this uhaul location the morning that I was supposed to leave for my move and they agreed this auto transporter was too dangerous to drive. They were out of auto transporters and I had to spend 2 hours finding another uhaul location to get a new auto transporter, which of course put me behind on my strict moving schedule. If I did not inspect the auto transporter and just left for my trip, there is a very good chance I could have had a massive tire blowout and caused a bad accident. This is completely unacceptable.

I rented a 26 foot truck that had clearly seen better days. They had eight 26 foot trucks available when I picked mine up....at least a couple of them virtually new. When I asked about getting one of the new ones I was told "they are all the same". The one I had was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation while driving down the highway. I stopped at a rest area at one point and the truck almost didn't start as the starter was grinding. I didn't turn it off for the rest of the trip because I didn't want to get stuck a 100 miles from home. When I returned the truck I was trying to explain the issue...no one was interested. This location is very understaffed. Those I did talk to were pleasant...there just aren't enough of them. '

I rented a truck and car dolly didn’t need the dolly so they were supposed to credit me back $122.00 they did not. Today Bill went in and cancelled the entire thing even though truck was loaded and I had a 12 hour drive to OH. Well it didn’t go back in our bank so we could repay for the uhaul. At 5 pm the bank called because they said Uhaul was fraudulently trying to take another payment out. The Over $500.00 charge is still on our account. What makes it worse I get a mast email from Bill stating I need to call by 9 am or they are going to say I stole the truck. Are you serious he caused all of this and now going to say I stole truck that is insane! Until the money goes back into our account I can not be recharged. At this point I shouldn’t even be charged as the stress this entire thing is causing and I had to get a hotel due to not being able to leave on time as I am moving out of state to OH. I have never ever had such bad customer service. He had to know if he cancelled my damn reservation if would cause an issue with my payment. I hope someone actually reads this message and stops this from happening to someone else. As I don’t know what we are going to do if the money is not returned into our account tomorrow I can not imagine being pulled over with my grand daughter in the truck with me and have someone say I stole the truck. I’m sorry but this is just so very upsetting.

The general manager at this location needs to remember that he is also an employee and works for this brand if he wants to earn businesses. He let me standing for 10 minutes while he could offer to back the cashier on the second register. He was busy straightening some accessory boxes on the display instead and chose to ignore me. I will not use his service anymore.
