Receiving employee asked if I had any problems and I advised him of the faulty turn signal which he checked and confirmed the malfunction. He assured me that it would be rectified prior to renting the trailer the next time.

Our truck LEAKED. Couch was wet. Clothes in suitcases were WET. Some box bottoms were wet. Informed personnel. I haven't heard anything back from UHaul. Renters should be informed that trucks LEAK!!!

I reserved my 26' box truck online on 5/15 for the Portland Maine(Marginal Way location). After confirmation, I was asked if I would like to take advantage of express check in, I said sure as it stated it would save lots of time. Upon arrival in Portland on 5/20, I was about 6th in line at 0800. I waited for 40-45 mins while 2 employees ran the counter. So much for "express check in" please remove that as an option on your website to save others aggravation. When I was able to get to the counter the transaction was just about complete when the employee claims I had an "E Alert" on my account and I had to call customer service. So, I lost my place in line, so I went out to my vehicle and was fortunate to speak with customer service and found that when I rented from UHaul in November of 2016, the rental location didn't complete their end correctly hence the "E alert" I then had to go back to the counter and luckily didn't have to wait, as the line at this point was approximately 20+ deep, but did have to wait for one customer to get to the same employee and then had to resubmit all my information once again. Then upon returning the truck, there was one employee at the counter and again waited approximately 20 mins again. Next time It would be wise to wait until the shop is closed and then return, hence no wait time. Needless to say, after renting many units from UHaul over the years, that this experience has changed my perception of UHaul and I will find it difficult to use them in the future.

I asked for a 29.95 a day 15 or 17. Foot. I received and paid fir the smaller truck at 18.95. Being that the mileage who be $60 each for two trips, it woukdve made sense thst I was after tge larger truck. We used our own vehicles to comoensate. I didn't realize it until i got hone. The woman at the desk was very professionsl but said to just ignore the wall listed prices. That's why i took the additional insurance because i thought i had the bug truck. An hour and a half after returning it, a man called to ask why it had not been returned. My husband said the drop off was easy, but apparently someone dropped the ball.

The wait time to check in was well over 30 minutes. There was one person and he was clearly overwhelmed. In this day and age, that should never happen. The equipment was very beat up. Poor experience.

Twice in the last year, the line was almost out the door (literally) on a Saturday morning. The first time was in July 2016 and the other in May 2017. Each time, there was only one person checking people out consistently, with another working some of time in between doing other things. I would suggest staffing more people on days you know will be busy. Even one of the employees said "it's always like this this time of year". I would also suggest sending someone in as a client to observe the work environment and professionalism (or lack thereof).

Not only was I told my truck was waiting for me outside (it wasn't) and I had to wait 20 minutes for the employee to bring another around, the truck I ended up receiving had a check engine light on the whole time. Fix them before you rent them and people won't feel like they're driving a massive lemon that struggles to get out of its own way.



More staff available for serving customers at the front counter. Better communication between staff Post or have option for direct line to the UHAUL facility--we had to call a corporate office, who had to call the facility and then we never heard back from the facility, prompting us to call back.
