it was Saturday and a long line. The lady that worked there did a great job but maybe if you had more than 1 employee that would help the wait time. I am just trying to be helpful with my suggestion but not trying to complain. We will definitely use Uhaul again. Great value and nice trucks! thanks!

When I returned the van the lady who checked the vehicle in tried to charge me $9 (2 gallons) for returning the vehicle with less fuel than it originally had. I explained (and showed a receipt) that I put gas in the vehicle and only drove about 25 miles. I had to have another employee look at the gas gauge and the original paper work to confirm that vehicle was not returned with less fuel. In the end, I was not assessed to the $9 fee, but it took 30 minutes of arguing to achieve this. Further, no apology was made by the original employee, and no compensation for the inappropriate and unwarranted fuel surcharge assessment was offered. So, from my perspective, why wouldn't she try and do this again?

My only problem was that I was sold the wrong hitch . Upon putting the trailer on the vechile it should have been apparent to the tech as he was the one who installed the hitch. I had to reverse the ball when I got home. This was still not enough I had to purchase a new hitch when I arrived in Danbury

I checked the truck out at 10:12am. Because the pick-up time said 9:30am pick up. I'd called and told them I was enroute and would be there soon. Then I waited in a painfully slow line and was helped by a nice but new employee who took a long time. Upon returning the truck this am about 9:52am, I was charged for 2 days (not just the one). I had 2 UHAUL employees (I'd called on phone and spoken to at counter) confirm that I wouldn't be charged the time. I get the bill, and apparently there was a communication breach between what I was promised and the man who checked in my truck. Not only was I charged 2 days, but I also was doubly charged the $14.95 for the insurance. I want my money back for the extra charges I shouldn't have had to pay. A little more clarity on costs. I didn't need to rent a uhaul truck but I chose to do so to speed things up because the truck is advertised for $29.95/day. I did two round trips from Scarborough to Portland(9hrs of use) and it cost me $135. I wasnt sure whether to laugh at you guys or myself for falling for it. Either way I appreciated the customer service from the owner. Good guy Ben Tinsman

if I want a dolly and moving pads I will ask for them. I did not appreciate having to take up space with your dolly and your moving pads!!

The website was HORRIBLE! tried fir 3 hours to find a trailer to rent within a 50 mile radius. Ended up calling the 800 number which was worse. Nobody had any idea where a trailer could be found. I finally found one by chance. The only helpful person at this location was Chris - Portland, Maine, . Everyone else we're completely useless

When I dropped the truck and trailer off, I couldn't get near the return bay because there were so many trucks waiting to be processed and returned. I had to park on the street! The employee at the desk wasn't doing anything and told me he'd check out truck and send me a receipt. When I got it, I saw he'd charged me a 25 dollar cleaning fee! I always rake and brush my rentals with a broom, and this time was no different. Also, this location seems to be chronically understaffed and I've had to wait in long lines here with no employee in sight! Totally unacceptable.

I was quoted $150 but was charged $180 on my credit card and then was charged an additional $15 for mileage after they assured me they would add extra mileage to drop it off in Bangor instead of Ellsworth. I rented a 10" truck one way and it cost me more that the 15 foot truck I rented the weekend before. The first experience was definitely better than the 2nd..I would love to speak to someone to fix the problem but it's hard to get a person on the phone.

Extremely slow. There was one customer service rep at the counter and there was a long line. I waited in like for 25 minutes just to pick up the keys.

The truck had some pretty serious issues. Something in the drivetrain caused serious vibration over 50mph and could be felt over 20mph.

The phone pickup is a nice feature, but it lacks efficiency when you have to wait in line for a key. We got to U-Haul at 9:10, started the process in the app, spent some time looking for the truck, got in line at 9:23, finally got out of line at 10:05, and didn’t leave the lot until 10:15. Picking up the truck took over an hour. And after all of that, the keys were in the truck, not at the front desk. Maybe U-Haul should consider lock boxes with a code to pick up your key. Other than that, our experience dropping it off, using the app, and with the staff was good.
