The online check out process is difficult. Please alert customers that if their "location" on cell phone is shut off then this process won't work and tell them to enable their location on their phones before starting to attempt this process. Perhaps telling them HOW to enable this would also help.

I have never rented from U-Haul so I don't know if this location is better or worse than any other. Overall, I did not have a good experience and would not recommend U-Haul to anyone.

couldn't find the black box where the keys were to do self pick up as the door was open and it was on the open door - maybe better directions. I am not sure the self check in saves any time.

This location appeared to be under construction, thus the answers for the first 2 questions. The return process was slow and inefficient. Not sure why the return process can't be like a typical car rental company; someone meets you at the vehicle, checks for damage and fuel level, prints a receipt, and your on your way. Instead I had to wait about 10~15 minutes in the same line as people picking up trucks.

I reserved on line and still had to go through the entire process to pickup which took over 20 min. The $19.95 change is a scam because the milLage change is more than the rental. Disappointed it wasn't what it appeared to be.

Over all I have no big complaints, I’m sure some folks abuse the equipment but I think the 16 insurance cost is high! So maybe with this in mind I would look at other options next time and when friends ask me about this experience that will be mentioned as well!

Storage unit reserved was not available. As a result I had to reserve two units, one large and one small, to accommodate items, at a higher price and resulting in much more effort to offload my rental truck. Staff was friendly but had multiple problems "with computer" in issuing my storage unit access cards. Staff did not have accurate log of available units, as I was shown several that were not available before randomly finding units that were available. All considered not an experience and a storage location that I would recommend to a friend or colleague.

The folks in Portland, particularly Alan, were fantastic. Professional, efficient, polite. I even ran into a complication and they addressed it immediately and professionally. Highly recommend this location as they are committed quality service and excellent equipment.

The man who took in the truck had an awful attitude, I thought I had put the gas where it was I got the lines mixed up , so I was going to take it to put it where it was he would allow me and then charges me 38 dollars and something cents without my consent!!!!! I’m livid . And the fact that the rates are so high also blows my mind . I will never do business with this company again. 175 dollars later and then to be treated awful disgusting..

Marginal way is completely under renovations. That didn't stop the staff who were courteous, personable and quick to notice customers looking for direction of where to drop off/pick up their rentals. Great job!

Though everyone was kind and did their best to assist me, there was not an outdoor storage unit available for me upon arrival despite having reserved one in person two months prior. This was frustrating, having arrived by myself with no one to assist in lifting heavy furniture. Felicia went above and beyond to help accommodate the inconvenience.

Twice now I have received incorrect charging of rental equipment, and had to specifically contact location to correct. This most recent was off (high) by $100 for incorrect billing, which was corrected after I had to write a note to the manager explaining the inaccuracies. I wonder how much of this is intentional, and not caught by customers?? Happy to provide documentation if you are interested.

The location was going through some remodel so the counter was in the truck return bay. No issue for me. The service rep was very friendly and efficient. From entering the building to getting in the truck took less than 5 minutes. As for the truck: The windshield was splattered with dead bugs. The rubber of the wiper blades were dried out and screeched across the windshield. Of course it didn't touched the dead bugs, so I cleaned with glass cleaner and towel. Also, there was a cigarette butt in the ashtray. Really surprised for 1: that a fairly new truck has an ashtray, 2: that U-haul permits smoking in their vehicles and 3: an actual cig butt left in the ashtray. Outside of those minor observances the move went well.

Location is in the middle of a renovation so things we unorganized and slightly chaotic. Trailer was dirty inside and I did not check it before leaving so when I arrived at my destination everything I loaded got dirty. I will be more careful about inspecting before leaving. Not really sure what the purpose of the express check out is? It took just as long as not doing the express checkout and I had to fill out all the information online.
