Please add clear instructions on where and how to return the truck (there is a clearly marked spot, but four of us came in at once ... where should the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th trucks go?). Probably add a verbal description during checkout (would be good at all Uhaul locations) as well as the outside sign(s).

I checked in online 2 days earlier which streamlined the process to just a couple minutes when I picked up my rental. Great job u-haul

Greg A. on

Be honest, don't try to rip people off by charging for three days when it was clearly only two. I own a business and have done a great deal of business with uhaul over the years, I guess I will look at Penske to see what they have to offer. Greg Abel

I was told by 800 # operator that a 2 5/16 ball would work for trailer rental We walk into the store no one at counter we see young man in back who says I'm eating lunch 5 minutes later help arrives.Told ball to big,buy ball didn't need, store didn't have tool to remove my ball bolt told I need to buy extension with ball didn't need! Sad that this is how you treat Faithful Return Customers.

Nothing. Representative was professional, knowledgeable And efficient when I picked up my rental and dropped it off.

The wait in line was really long. I was set up for self-check-in and check out but still had to get and give the keys to the attendant. The point of self-check-in and checkout is removing the interaction with the attendant. What if I showed up before or after hours?

An advertisedtwenty dollar rental ended up costing 45 or so. I have the money. Not about the money. Ad should read: $19.95 per day plus $.65 per mile! Still a good deal. The perday rate is pretty amazing so just be clear you are not getting off the lot without a charge in excess of $20. The usorious nature of the gas policy, a thirty dollars charge to refill plus 6 dollars a gallon is hard to swallow on top of the Revelations that with insurance and special road taxes and juuust a few miles you will be way over your 19.95 and add gas and the time it takes. Why not just lease em out full and charge a fair rate for miles that includes gas? Why? Because this makes more money for uhaul but pisses off customers. $30 dollars to refill indeed. If you really care about customer happiness and good word of mouth business then don't set up your business so that the word of mouth must include sober and serious warnings about Uhauls refill policies. Many people budget today without having the kind of money that I am fortunate to have. People are poor on the streets worse than ever. So there is no place today for usorious and profit gouging schemes hidden inside cheap rates. Not trying to infuriate your company. It is fine company I have done business with for around 50 years. It's more my Civic duty to say this. Thanks for reading David Jones 214-726-5333

Rented a 26 ft truck 3 weeks in advance. They called less then 24 hours before pick up to tell me they only had a 20 ft and had to drive 30 miles to pick up, when I voiced my disapproval she hung up. Needless to say we couldn’t fit everything. Very stressful!!

There was some repair light on in the truck. Additionally, three employees were talking to themselves while I was standing waiting to be served. Is this customer service?

I originally attempted to rent a truck from the location on Lombard using the app and the 24/7 option, but when it came time to get the keys, the app advised me to go get them from the people insiiiiide the location, which was impossible, because no one was there and the doors were locked, even though it said they were open on their door and on the uhaul page. So after almost an hours worth of attempting to make THIS PLACE work, we ended up cancelling that reservation and heading to the Columbia location instead - they had a cargo van, which they got us into quickly and ended up working out alright for what we were trying to do, but literally smelled like an ash tray, and made all of my clothes smell like one too. So that was less than favorable. Overall, the whole experience really put a negative vibe on our whole day.

Amazing customer service. Attendant went above and beyond to help us out.

Friendly, prompt, and organized staff.

Amazing service from both employees.

I think it's poor policy to rent out a truck with only 1/4 tank of gas left, then charge a customer an extra fee for returning it with less than 1/4 tank of gas remaining. I was so pressed for time that I couldn't put gas in the tank and had to eat the fees. Rent out trucks with more gas so you don't "punish" your customers.

All the employees I encountered at this location were incredibly friendly and helpful and made my moving experience much more tolerable. Many thanks for that!

Keep Up The Good 1 With The Quality Of Staff You Currently Have.

The check in via your phone was more effort than going inside.

Marc C. on

The truck needed a front-end alignment other than that everything was quality

This place is big, clean and inviting. When I was told that I was slightly below the gas return amount needed and how much it would be, the young man directed me to the closest gas station to go get gas. All in all, a very great experience. Thank you!
