I didn't have a problem with the staff or vehicle but I did have a problem with the rate. The $20 a day turned into $80 somehow, therefore uhaul will never see my face or business again.. I felt it was done in such a sneaky manner. Stop gauging your customers.

This location is woefully understaffed. Every time I have rented from them there is only the manager, who seems to be preoccupied while serving customers. Perhaps another part-time employee during the morning and evening to help with checkouts and returns would help. The equipment was clean and maintained, my reservation was handled online with no problems, yet getting the truck took a while because of the above lack of people.

Couldn’t understand what the desk person was saying. He rushed through the memorized stuff so quickly and mumbled all his words and it was incredibly frustrating to keep asking him to repeat himself. Then he would just walk off to do something and I couldn’t tell if I was supposed to follow him or what, because again, I had no idea what he said.

Tried to use the app to pickup the van, but when it got to taking my photo it wouldn't work. The van was right in size, but not not good gas mileage with the 8 cyl. Engine . I drove 300 miles and used a whole tank of gas . $ 60 worth of fuel. I would suggest diesel powered vans if they're not already available. The Ford Transit diesel I drive at work gets over 20 mpg.

The parking lot had multiple nails on the ground. One of these punctured my car's tire when I went to pick up the Uhaul, and made it go flat. This caused me to be unable to use my car during the move, meaning I had to put more miles on the truck both during the first night of my move and during the next day because I had to drive the truck to work and to my car to deal with the popped tire. When I contacted the location, they basically called me a liar about the nails being on their lot and being the cause of the popped tire, despite the fact that I have multiple witnesses. My boyfriend even told the person working at the time what had happened as soon as he noticed the tire was going flat. Yet Uhaul has refused to do anything to make it right, even just to comp some of the extra miles I had to drive because of this.

The two gentlemen that checked me in and helped get set up with a trailer we’re great and the eptimty of amazing customer service. Professional and polite. They told me if I brought the trailer back early I would not get charged the entire amount. I was thinking of keeping the rental for the full two days. However, I was able to get what I needed in just a few hours. So I brought it back early expecting a small discount. The guy behind the counter was polite but too busy to answer all the questions and not be rude to all the other customers. I confirmed that everything was good. He said yes. Today I received the final invoice. And the entire charge was on my paperwork. Maybe the guy was too busy to see this mistake or maybe the way it was presented to me for the discount was misinterpreted by myself.

When I rented the 26' truck, I had a unexpected wait as I was told that I had to talk to a representative on the phone because of possible payment issue. I stated why since I had always paid on time and no issues prior. I had rented quite a few times and I am also a dealer. The representative stated that I was all clear and should have no problem since I owed nothing and reactivated my account. My problem was returning the truck. Everyone seem to be lazy. I parked the truck over on the opposite lot and parked it there. I went in to check in and they told me to drive it to the drive through. ( bad customer service, they were just too lazy to walk over to the truck to check it in) I was then told to clean the back and sweep out the small amount of debris which I did. As I was doing this, most of the employees were were sitting down by the maintenance shed not doing anything but talking among themselves. One of them could have easily retrieved the info from the truck. I am surprised to see employees being lazy at a Uhaul that should be setting a good example as this being the original Uhaul store. Just thought you would like to know.

Uhaul is changing there procedures for returning and picking up equipment and due to the use of the new cell phone system I was unable to simply have the customer service agent accomplish the needed paperwork for more than 45 minutes. He eventually got it done by going back to the old system. Implement changes that work BEFORE customers arrive.

Fuel gauge dropped significantly after two of three blocks when I left the rental site. Same thing happened as I drove up.... Gauge was on the correct amount until I pulled up, literally got gas five blocks away from the drop off site. I was dinged for not filling up the tank even though I did. Was not believed even though I explained. I feel this must be a scam... How else would the fuel gauge drop so far both times?
